Oh! And another thing: if someone bids on Purgatory Signed Lot 2, that is the exact, specific comic they get. The signatures are different, much like the flaws in depression-era glass. I do thrive on happy customers and give them that for which they ask.

Hawkwand -
And whose signatures were on the 4 xena figures? It's also not a matter of 1 seller posting 10 comics and 10 sellers posting 1. It's a matter of 100 sellers each posting 10 of the same item. That's when it becomes a problem because a buyer browsing categories then has to scroll through 1000 of the same item they are not interested in to find anything else!

Don't ya loves Dutch Auctions?!!! Refer to Jeanyu's thread. Maybe she should list individual items?!!!

Jeanyu is certainly allowed to list them as singles ONE OPEN AD AT A TIME. Anything more is subject to NW complaints and deletion. The Sheriff is busy but if the seller is still spamming when he gets there ALL of that sellers ads will disappear. Relisting spams will result in the sellers ID disappearing for good, losing whatever feedback rating they have built.

I see Hawkwand relisted those 4 Xena figures but he never did explain how they are different. Xena's not the only Lot 1 etc that have no apparent difference IMO.

Hawkwand, I can assure you that if you have three Lady Pendragon #1's, each signed by Joe Jusko, then that is three of the same item. If you want to get real picky, you could list three Shadowhawk #1's, one with a small ding, one with edge wear, and another with light spine stress. You can claim your rights to list all three of those comics all you want, but when it comes down to it what you are listing is 3 Shadowhawk #1's in VF condition.

On your 10 different sellers with the same comic statement, you are wrong. A search between auction sites will find you about 15 copies of Uncanny X-Men #186. These are all being sold by different sellers, each in NM condition, and have starting bids of $0.25 to $6.00.

Thanks,
LabRat

OK, FINE! If the cat comes back, and if my listings are cancelled, I'll add one of the MANY extra trading cards I have lying around to the listing. It will then, indeed, be DIFFERENT! Won't it?

Nope, it will still be "one (whatever the items are that you're spamming) plus a trading card". It's still spam, Yahoo will see right through it, and it will still be NW'ed as such. The means to avoid Yahoo deletion for spamming is simple; don't do it. DM

I see Hawkwand, like Meowmeeoow never returned to the thread to inform us of the outcome. I do so to enlighten other sellers.
I wanted to know what would happen so I NW'd one of the Xena figures (it already had 6 spam complaints on it anyway). I received an email from Yahoo letting me know they deleted ALL of Hawkwands ads for spam 3 days ago.

Just in case anyone thought his Lot 1, lot 2 etc idea was good, there's your answer.

interesting. that's good to know.

I personally don't understand why (s)he listed so many lots of the same item in the first place. When I am shopping, if I see an item that I'm interested in & the seller has only one, I am likely to place a bid right then, not knowing whether the item would be readily available at a later time. If I see a million of the same thing listed then I assume it will be readily be available if I want to think it over & return to buy later. OF course I usually forget all about it and never return to buy...and the seller loses an "impulse buy".

As a buyer I do appreciate the fact that Yahoo limits you to one listing per item. It's nice to shop at an uncluttered site!
