Does anyone know what will happen if a poster without a CC on file tries to post on AW at 12:01 AM November 1, 2001? Will we get a message that we don't allow the unwashed masses to post ? Will we be redirected to a page to enter our CC info? (I hope not, that would be really tacky). Will it be Pacific Standard Time? (That will be 3:00AM on the East Coast). I guess I'll wait and see.
One thing I KNOW I won't miss are all of the cookies. Just lurking and reading one thread my cookie cruncher ate 29 cookies. After I finish this post I will have to delete the 5 or 6 I had to accept to log on.
I registered at AW for the first Town Meeting in the Fall of 1999. Wasn't much here then except the message Boards, and not nearly as many as there are now. it the nature of things to change, I hope this isn't one of those changes that turns around and bites AW in the butt. 5 hours by my computer clock until midnight.

My guess is that our login will not be able to validate. This is going to be interesting to watch, even though most of us won't be posting, at least we can still see the posts!

Any lost sheep out there, just post & I'll check back every 15 minutes or so & see that you get the info you seek.
Every place has it's own strengths & weaknesses. I urge everyone to continue to lurk & post where they feel they can get the most information they need, be it at AuctionWatch or any other place.

I just looked at the thread on the Other site where folks seems to be checking in after they register. The thread has 7614 views. I don't think anyone can dispute that 7614 views is a **lot** of views, and a reasonable assumption can be made that folks have found the other site.
Having said that, posting any more links here on AW amounts to cruel and unusual punishment for Patty Taylor, who then like it or not, has to delete the links. Extending Patty Taylor some consideration would be the gracious way to leave.

Eventer. We do not have any lost sheep in UK. They have all been shot because of Foot & Mouth Disease. For folks not aware, sheep and their babies were shot at birth. Sorry if this post does not make sense. It followed the thread when posted!
