yup ~ fees based on 2.2% less 1.5% ~ can't use interest rate since it compounds.
net charges are basically 0.7% + 30 cents regardless.
(1.92% interest) not really a factor. The rate is based on the assumption of the money being debited back out.
Pretty accurate since the difference between interest and cash back is .42% ~ basically a wash to approximately the same amount (taxability).

In a real live auction they charge a handling fee right off the bat. In order to bid you must pay for your paddle or you don't bid. I consider that a handling fee. Some charge $1.00 and some $2.00. I find it very convenient to have paypal no matter what they charge. It is a convenience for me to take it as most of my auctions are paid that way and paid usually right away and I mail the next day. Makes everyone happy. That makes more room for more merchandise. and my husband really likes that - NOT
