I listed 12 items and sold 7 on a 7 day list.
I think it's great. I love uploading the pics directly from my hardrive, I love the auto relist feature and have had 10 minute turn around time on the hostsupport.

BTW I also like the auto counter, the bid notification via email, and the site clone design. Makes my bidders feel right at home.

Don't mind thats it free either.

Hi, I'm CROSSSTITCHLOVER on epier. I've sold more there than on yahoo. Whenever I need help, the other sellers just jump on in. Sure, some things are slow yet, but epier wasn't planning on the raising & instution of fees at the other sites. I think they are doing a fantastic job. i have some stuff on bidville, only 1 bid & I can't get ahold of the buyer. I'll stick with epier. Things will work out there because everyone pulls together and wants it to succeed.

ePier are likely what eBay was in the beginning, before they got greedy. Unlike what some others have said, I find Support to be outstanding, responses to emails (and NOT autoresponders) in under an hour. Sales have been slow but steady, and if one takes into account eBay listing fees and final values fees, I'm doing about the same as eBay (who in my opinion are getting worse---sales are declining, while ePier is rapidly growing, I expect great things to come). The addition of 4 new Internet Information Servers last week has reduced downtime to zero, and the site is somewhat faster, although it still needs improvements in this area. I feel ePier is at the moment the big secret amongst auction sites, you would not *believe* some of the bargains! Sellers are able to pass the savings from no listing and FV fees directly to the customer, in some cases this is substantial. But for me the most telling thing has to be since joining ePier and becoming part of the community, I haven't so much as *looked* at eBay in weeks! I give ePier 8 out of 10, eBay 6 out of 10 and falling.

I'm fairly new to the auction scene. At first I was a buyer, then I had a product I really wanted to sell. I tried the big guys, and also listed with smaller auction sites. I've been listing with Epier for several months now, and have watched them respond to the rapid growth they've experienced lately. They have a small staff and yet they are working hard for us and deserve so much credit for all their efforts in responding to our needs. We as sellers appreciate having REAL people behind the scenes that are caring and seem to want us to succeed as much as we want THEM to succeed. I am proud to have my product listed with them. It is unique, 'and yes I know that is a hated auction word'...so I don't use it in my auctions much. (So Epier has at least one thing the big guys don't, my clocks....I couldn't afford to start this little business and LOSE money at the same time, so I am listing for free. If in the future they need commissions, they are more that welcome to that in my opinion. For now it seems to make sense to list with them. Its virtually painless. I have no trouble listing, getting help if I need it. Great atmosphere, great sellers and buyers so far.
We will stick it out with Epier, I know I am. My seller name on Epier is Kae. Stop by and see all that Epier has to offer and judge for yourself!

I have been a buyer/seller on Yahoo (mostly) and ebay some, ID lg10scorp. But since Yahoo's fees began, I moved over to Epier. My Epier ID is LadyScorp. It has been a month now and I love it and will continue to stay with Epier. I have sold a few things, not a whole lot yet but the site is still growing and we are trying desperately to let others know of this site. I really like the layout, very user friendly. The support is just AWESOME. When you have questions, they personally respond-usually within 24 hours. No animated responses. The people there are just SUPER, everyone helping each other out. I am also trying out Bidville, but so far I am not near as impressed.
Bottom line is - Epier is free, great support team, great people and excellent potential. Sure there are some bugs to be worked out there too but that is at every auction site I know of.

ePier has been wonderful! Many sellers pounced on them from eBay and Yahoo and they've been terrific in their response!

Considering ePier has grown over 118% in January alone - I feel that they are handling the growth remarkably well. They've added new servers and when we've asked for new catagories - boom! There there are! They are now working on a 4-tier structured catagory layout which will be fantastic.

Something that really attracks buyers and seller are their NO TOLERANCE policy for rotten buyers or sellers. Also, that they have their phone number and address posted on the home page - for easy contact.

When you email them, you get a fast and human reply - sometimes in the matter of hours, but never more than 12 hours. They reply with a "gee great idea, we'll work on that/or we've just made changes per your request or we've just added that function - thank you! Much better than a canned automated no comment - thank you for your concern junk.

They offer photo hosting (which I'm told is easy to use - I have my own web site to host my photos),a built-in counter, an online bulk loader and an auto-relister (which is a dream for those of use selling wholesale items).

Their editing function is not only easy to use, it's wonderful because not only can you do standard editing such as the title, catagory, description and changing your photo, you can change the price, change the reserve status (adding or removing, the quanity, placing it or removing it from a catagory/mail feature listing and update payment/shipping options. How many times have you listed an auction and then wanted to change the price? Here you can!

The layout is great (infact they had their colors befor eBay took the same colors)and simple to list.

I've been there 3 weeks and have sold several things -- 5 I believe. February a slow month everywhere and we are in a recession. We're being patient because this site is worth it. I placed items over at Bidville and Pootah and not only are then not getting sells, they are not getting any hits. THAT is discouraging.

I would like to see a the Buy it Now feature on ePier. And while they don't have a gallery yet, it works for me because I'm selling personalized auction galleries (so works in my favor in this case.) But I think they are working on developing one.

To all, really you should try it. We're hoping to convince AW (or someone) to place ePier on their services so we can have the great extra functions of billing and auction tracking - icing on the cake!

Hi! I am fairly new at EPier (about a month). For me, it has been slow, but a lot
of activity is going on. Support is excellent! Usually within an hour, you will get a response (and not a canned response!).
They are more than willing to work with you on requests regarding the site (i.e. new catagories, chat forums, changes in format).
As far as bulk loading and image uploading,
yes, EPier does have it.
It is easily navigateable and very similar to
eBay.
Everyone on the chat forums are more than willing to help out with any problem you may
have or just to lend an ear.
There are several forums to go to; General,
Business, catagory specific, Live Chat, & Epier Support.
I will be staying at Epier and love it! So,
for the curious (for buying or selling) or for anyone ready for a change, try Epier. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Hi, I've been at ePier for about a month (seller ID: Red) and am doing pretty good )
The techs are quick to help us with probs and added new catagories.
Loading time is much faster since they added the new servers.
I love the listing format...very quick and easy. Especially love the fact that you can set preferences. And you have several choices of how long the auctions last.
My fellow sellers are friendly and always willing to help each other )

As a Seller and Buyer with over 700 plus positive e-bay rating, NO negs or neutrals.....believe me when I say that ePier is the way to go, I am candlelady over there and my customers are flocking to the site........I looked at "other" auction sites, but NONE have the potential that ePier has.....I particularly like their "Preference" tab, where you can BULK List auctions with a standard Policy format, then switch the Preference tab to reflect other items..........even AuctionWatch can't do that......Mr. Kim (the owner)actualy answers the phone.........and is very nice.
They will remain FEE FREE as the owner is smart....he plans on hosting his own Credit Card acceptance in the future, and unlike PayPal, he will not get greedy and charge transaction fees.......I would sign up with them in a heartbeat (and no do not pay me interest in my funds, but also do NOT charge me Listing and FAV Fees).....I would be happy to give him interest on my money.......for a FEE FREE auction site. This man is smart, and has the picture...Go Mr. Kim and ePier......wonderful Sellers and Buyers......

And will this man be distributing new cars to all users as well?

It is amazing how people believe that sites will upgrade, add new features, pay the staff, develop new services, etc. etc. AND they will do it ALL FOR NOTHING IN RETURN!

Mr. Kim must be Santa Claus in disguise!

Go Santa Go!

He wants his site to succeed.....I guess we'll know in time whether or not he is SANTA CLAUS! In the mean time, alot of us are doing the best we can to help him succeed!

Auctionguard (even though you spelled it wrong auctiongaurd).........Who are you and why are you even commenting on this Post in such a NEGATIVE manner?........the folks from AuctionWatch already stated that they wanted comments on ePier, but also stated NO BASHING.....CAN YOU READ?....... as I stated in an earlier post, Mr. Kim, who is a gentleman, has plans to pay for his site...if you care to visit it you will see.......

LOL, I know it's spelled wrong.

I'm sure that Mr. Kim is a great guy! I was not saying that he wasn't. What I was implying is how can a site offer so much all for free?

What is the purpose of Mr. Kim doing all of this if he has nothing to gain except for a fan club? I assume that Mr. Kim is running a business, so I assume that he is thinking about making a profit. How will his business make money if everything is free?

Sometimes people are so niave that they look past these questions.

In theory I believe all these free sites are attempting to build up their base and once that happens, slowly implement reasonable fees. That was Yahoo's mistake. 99.9% of people were ok with yahoo charging some type of fee. However you have to get something for your dollar and Yahoo was not producing results to go with the level of fees they were charging.

auctionguard......before you get so negative....why don't you get your facts together before spouting off. You have a right to your opinion, but with your negativity, nothing would EVER suit you? Right? Let people decide for themselves. People like you are never happy and it sound like you are a tad bit jealous that some sellers are actually making it. Imagine that!!!!!
You know the old Slogan...." Try it, you'll like it ". What a trip!

Hey Auctionguard,
Spelling excused....let's be friends here, OK?...... but please understand that there are a lot of people who have been hurt by e-bay's increased fees and Yahoo trying to charge a fee........basically you have a lot of people who want to sell items, to pay for their husbands medication, to just buy food etc. For some people it is their only source of Income (like me). But with regard to ePier. He has a newspaper article which is accessible (sp?) from the HOMEPAGE....that states where he will make his money. He has invested a lot of money to start ePier, and yes it is free........he has paid to upgrade Servers etc......BUT where he can make a lot of money is with accepting Credit Card payments on HIS auction site......also Advertisers, when he gets BIG (which I think he will).......BUT the most important thing is that he will NOT control your e-mail (like e-bay wants to do), and will allow a FREE Site.......
Hope you will at least check the site out, there are a lot of wonderful people there......

happiestg, I am in no way negative or jeleaous, nor do I want to get into an argument with you. I am overjoyed that you love the site. I LIKE THE SITE TOO. My comments had nothing to do with sellers selling goods or whether or not I like the site. I was simply asking a question. How do all of you think that this site (or any free auction site) will make it if they do not charge any kind of fees at all?

Would you start your own business just for the heck of it? Would you work yourself to the bone making sure that everybody is happy if there was never the chance of you making a dime? I don't think that you would and I don't think that Mr. Kim would either, unless I was right about him being Santa Claus!

This is not negativity. I am happy to pay fees. In fact, many of my threads have pleaded with sites to charge fees. This way I don't have to worry about them suddenly disapearing one day because they went broke. I don't worry about them having money to advertise and bring bidders in. AND I don't worry about my listings being buried in a pile of junk items like one cent baseball cards that nobody would ever buy.

(before the baseball card people get upset, please note that I sell baseball cards and baseball cards only, except I sell cards that have a demand and not one cent cards with no demand. I give those to the kids in the neighborhood to stick in their bike spokes and make that motorcycle noise with.)

This is not negative. This is business. This is not personal. This is business.

We are all looking for a new auction home. Everyone's feedback related to their experiences at various auctions is important as we make our decisions about where we will list.

This thread was to rate ePier. That does not mean that negatives are not to be discussed. Even before this topic deteriorated, someone said "don't be negative". We learn about a site from both the + and - comments. So don't take it so personal.

I have listed 2 items at ePier tonight and must say that they are loading faster. The comments in this thread caused me to take a another look at the site. Also, a former customer emailed me and said that the chat was a big help and full of friendly people.

Thanks to all for the input.

Hello Joice the A/W Moderator,
I hope that you will give this thread a chance to get back to what was relevant.......NOT the exchange that was just listed between 2 people that I believe were out to defame ePier, or serve themselves......
A message was posted on the ePier Chat Board to link to this Thread.....but it may take a while for everyone to get here and give their opinions.
Please listen to the honest ePier Sellers

auctiongaurd:

Mr. Kim may be independantly wealthy and does this for a hobby!

Do you also question everyone that gives to charity?

Everyone that does community service to help their neighborhood?

Everyone that puts a quarter in the collection box at church?

Do I need to go on to get the point across?

At this time we do not know for sure how or even if he wants to make money, but free is free - if it continues - so much the better. If it does not, what have we lost except a few months or years of FREE service.

Just my opinion!
