It's eBay math! It only makes sense if you are a corporate drone in an ill-fitting, knockoff polo shirt.

I'm making room for you on the support group sofa.

Is there room for me on the sofa also? I definitely need therapy to cope with these changes.

I think we are going to need at least a sectional.

Counting neutrals as negs is harmful to both buyers and sellers. Going from 100% to 95.2% because of 2 neutrals is ridiculous. The buyers had an opportunity to leave a neg and chose to leave a neutral instead. EBay assumes they did so in fear of retaliatory feedback. I've left neutral feedback as a buyer because the transaction was just so-so. Usually because things that I thought should have been included in the description weren't and I didn't ask for more detail before bidding. The sellers weren't fraudulent, just less informed than they should be. I never meant to ding their feedback, I left neutral comments as a form of educating them. I'm appalled that my neutral ratings will now affect small sellers so profoundly.

Just left a neg for a non-paying bidder ~ probably the last I will be able to leave unless eBaY is reconsidering!?!?!?
Surprised (and pleased) I could still leave it and warn other ebayers about this non-responsive buyer ~ this was their first neg!

Boo Ebay.

My feedback went from 99.3% to 90.9%

I am begining to feel about ebay the way I felt about paypal before ebay bought them.

I just updated my new website - give me your feedback on it.

Ebay is killing the goose that lays the golden egg. With google, and the other search engines, ebay will slowly lose sellers. Between fees, rule changes and the lack of common sense, ebay will lose the best sellers and go back to being a "junk dealer" site.

You would think that places like ebay would covet their sellers much more than the buyers. Without the better sellers, ebay will not attract the better buyers.

Ebay may soon realize that they are selling "new coke".

The weird thing is my FB % went down another 10th of a percent. No new negs or neutrals, only new positives and my dashboard is sitting at all 5.0s with one 4.9.

My FB% was at 99.9% prior to the BIG overhaul, then went to 99.6 with the CHANGE, yesterday went to 99.5 with no new negs or neutrals just additional positives. Talk about new math!!

the way the system is now set up ....

12 months ago on May 24th , 2007...you had 45 psoitives on that day....well, seeing that ebay ONLY goes back 12 months...if you only had 30 positives today...your total just LOST 15....

continuing a rotating 12 month schedule...even if you add ZERO today...whatever you had received a year ago yesterday is now gone(for that day) in their calculation

I am aware that your feedback changes with the calendar and now repeat feedback counts, but it is still puzzling to me how they calculate it.

My 12 month + feedback is listed in the chart as 1277, my + feedback used in that little calculator that appears if you hover is 663!!(Both show 3 neutrals)

I know I must have had some repeat feedback in the same week, but twice as much!!

I have over 1400 positive feedback. The last 12 months I didnt work it much and I only had 65 feedback. With the Neutrals my score dropped from 99.4 to 94%

I hate ebay. I may have to open another account until those neutrals drop off this summer.
