no one insisted that the thread stay on topic. the problem was that there apparently was no topic, just an inflammatory religious reference.

I can see I'm not wanted. Again. You two have too much to say to each other. Again. I'm so affronted I'm going back to the quitting smoking thread.

don't you dare comment. Put me on ignore ASAP.

unwanted and unloved smilie

Actually, the problem seemed to be that you didn't understand the topic and didn't even bother to read the link provided for your education.

apparently you did not bother to read that i read the linked page. although it was created by a non-Jewish group its relation to Bush is not obvious as you would have others believe. if there was a clear connection to Bush i would have been offended by him and not by the creator of the thread and other posters.

That was the New Revised Standard Edition's translation of the 3rd chapter of Exodus where Moses encounters the manifestation of God in a burning bush, telling him to go to Egypt and free the Israelites from their bondage.

Apparently, Stusi was in the wrong thread. I coulda sworn there was a topic and it was being discussed in utter earnestness.

Is that a new AW Policy:

Thou shall not offend stusi.

I'm sorry you didn't understand the subject. As a good member of AW I should have taken the time to draw you a picture to clear up your confusion. Please accept my deepest appoligies.

katyd- what do you think the topic was? who had the better smilies? krs- some people have a problem with topics other than dogruns. we had a serious discussion on that issue and no one accused you of over-reacting! wouldn't you think that topic lends itself more easily to sarcasm?

wouldn't you think that topic lends itself more easily to sarcasm?

What is the point if it is easy?

I find it really rude that you, stusi, continue to discuss a subject that has been locked (per your request) in MY thread.

I hope everyone has me on ignore. I'm an atheist and it is rather embarrassing to admit that I immediately understood the title of Spaz's thread when he posted it this afternoon.

a manifestation of God in a burning "bush"? incredibly original and funny and definitely worth a thread of its own!!!!!! amazing what amuses some people. how many biblical "gore" references can you come up with that might offend Christians?

Stusi,

James just explained what should not be neccessary to explain. Here:-- God as Burning BUSH tells moses to take Jews out of Egypt.

Next time use your ignore button, no, use it now.

Do you think you people could try to stay on topic here!

Hmmm.... But seeing as the topic is being off topic, then being off topic would really be on topic and not off topic at all!

nevermind

Stusi, if you wanted to address the topic, why did you have it locked? Seems a bit silly to me.

Now, I must insist you stay on the topic at hand or I will have to have this thread locked (and then where would you go?).
