In answer to your question: Central Park after the Puerto Rican Day parade last year. The Rodney King Riots. Any of the many incidents of idiot college students looting and vandalizing because their school team wins/loses some meaningless championship ... the list is almost endless.

Unrestrained, anonimity singularly or in large groups breeds the worst possible behavior. That is one reason why something as basic as a public washroom requires a moderator. Police are needed at public gatherings regardless of whether it is a celebration or a gathering of dissention.

Right, Spaz and Zilvy,

The psychology of group behavior is very
interesting and frightening. The Jerry
Springer groups illustrate that also.

Edited to address both posters.

I believe that Martin Luther King was making the point that priviledged groups are reluctant to give up their priviledges voluntarily while individuals will reconsider their moral position and make changes.

Please ignore my thought above. I can see that it does not apply to this topic. Although group psychology is a factor in this type of show, there is an added element of ignorance and rude behavior involved.

If you removed one individual from this group, you would still have a problem.

Okay. You're RIGHT and I'm WRONG. Jesus, Antiquary, stop foaming at the mouth. So I'm not your favorite poster, but you are making me into a troll by having a seizure every time I post. Chill out, dude.

"My boss said to me and Phil" is fine spoken English (I suppose). As far as written English it sucks, but it's acceptable on a message board. Hey, I took a playful jab at Spaz and several of you apparently went into convulsions.

Excuse me for being a square peg. This forum is becoming entirely too close-minded and inbred. If you're not here to knock the Prez, don't post. YAWN!

I generously assumed some rudimentary knowledge on the part of a poster who would be so presumptuous as to try to correct another, however erroneously.

Buddy, you ain't no Sherlock Holmes. That statement makes absolutely NO SENSE. In your rush to throw out as many insulting $5 words as you can muster, you have overlooked one important fact: You are talking utter nonsense.

"If you're not here to knock the Prez, don't post"

Twinsoft, please don't maintain that belief. I'm sure that nearly every poster is quite willing to observe your flagellations and your self destructive egotistical postings.

OK - enough already....

Combatitive, insulting, disruptive, he said/she said type posts might seem appropriate for a discussion about Jerry Springer, but this is AW, remember??

This is where I drone on about "addressing the topic"

Yul Brenner. Wonder if he's any relation to Yul Bryner? (Putting away my red pencil for now.)

Given previous displays I thought a phonetic spelling would be easier for the subject.

Hooked on foniks, eh KRS?

Or, in your case, hooked on foniques.

Phony-ques would probably be too subtle.

Sad that the Wolfpack has dwindled to just three members. And not a single alpha since what's-her-name left. It's downright pitiful.
