Do you want to be a millionaire?
Well, win this contest and you'll only be $999,900 shy: ).
If you're like me, you've been captivated by this simple little program airing on ABC during the sweeps. This is a totally unauthorized online version without the big bucks ... but all the elements are there. arcane information and a "real" live life-line to guide you
There is a difference and a big enough one to keep me out of trouble. For instance, the lifeline in this version is not expendable ... you can use it any and every time.
It is in the form of the auctions.com search engine or other links that will direct you. Every question relates to auctions.com and how to access that information will be posted with the question.
Score keeping is also a little different.
The first person to answer the question correctly, gets 10 points.
The second person to answer the question correctly gets 5 points.
The third person to post the correct answer to the question gets 3 points.
All other correct posters before the buzzer is sounded, get one point each.
There is a limited time frame for each question and the next question won't be posted until the previous one has ended.
When all seven questions are answered, the person with the highest point total will win the $100 prize.
Post the "answer" here in this thread. One post per entrant per question. The second and subsequent "answer posts" by an individual will be ignored.
Post yes when you are ready for the first question. You must post your intent to participate in this contest by 1 p.m. Pacific time. The first question will be posed at that time.
Pat
BTW: What does the buzzer look like:

Magik has already won $100 today and while she may play this contest, she will not be allowed to win cash. (If she is first in this event, the second place winner will win the cash.)
However, at this point there are no other contestants for this contest. Its start will be delayed until 2 p.m. pacific time (5 p.m. eastern.)
