I asked this a month or so ago. It still hasn't been resolved: "On my Vendio selling page, the hits are not showing up, whereas if I look at my items in My eBay, they're there. What has happened to change this? Am I overlooking an option? This hasn't happened before, in 10 years or so."
I currently have just eight items up for auction. In My Ebay the eight, in order, show this, beginning with the first one. Number of hits: 6, 11, 7, 2, 4, 2, 3, 2. On my Vendio Control page the hits are much lower and/or non-existing.
There's no need for you, the moderator, to look at each one. Just please look at my Vendio control panel, which shows the eight items, and see the difference.
This never used to happen! It's frustrating, because I look at my control panel often and then have to double-check how the items are doing at My eBay, which takes extra time. PLEASE see if someone at Vendio can solve this problem. Thanks!
The only 'known' way the counters would be much different from one another is if they were setup to be 'smart' in one system and 'simple' in the other. 'Smart' counters only count one person once, where 'simple' counters just count every time anyone loads the page.
It's certainly possible that something other than a direct page view is somehow throwing off your eBay counters to count hits when someone didn't fully load your listing page, but the Vendio ones should always go up just a single hit each time the page loads fully.
To test:
Clear your cookies in your browser, then log into your Vendio Control Panel and view the number of hits on your items.
Next, click on the link to some/all of these items, scroll down to the counter (since yours isn't hidden) and simply verify that they go up by one upon your visit.
When you get back to the control panel if you refresh the page you will see it match what it now shows on the visible counter on that listing as well.
Since your counters are 'smart' going back to that listing again to verify its current number won't increase it again.
I checked a few of yours and the ones I landed on all counted exactly one more once they were visited, as they should.

I understand the difference between the Smart & Simple Counts and yet sometimes the counts still do not make sense. For example, I currently have an item (300459072993) that says NO hits on Vendio, yet eBay has it down for 31 hits.
I often see zeros on the Vendio counters and hits on EBay. Logically, if eBay counters have any hits showing, Vendio should show at least one.
I went to your listing "300459072993", but the count increased by one immediately. Everything that we are seeing shows that the Vendio counter is working correctly. However, if you find a listing where the Vendio count does not increase by one when it is visited, please let us know. It is possible that the eBay counter is incorrect (I have recently seen posts on the eBay message boards from sellers that have large counts on their eBay counter immediately after listing -- before that many counts would seem possible.) However, it is unfortunately not possible for us to troubleshoot the eBay counter.

Nathan: I've looked all over in auction preferences, Vendio and eBay. There's an option to pick cute numbers for the "smart" counter but I see NO OPTION to change that to simple (which is total number of hits, right?).

There is a page that you can access where you can change counters from simple to smart and vise versa - as well as reset them as needed:
http://www.vendio.com/my/count/index.html
This is if you want to change it after the item is already live. When you select the counter during the create listing process you can also pick smart or simple.
