Hi,
I have unchecked " Automatically send a Winning Bidder Notification (WBN) when a listing closes with a valid winner",
but I am getting copies of the WBNs that appear to be still being sent to the winning bidder's email. I thought I would only get a copy if an original was emailed to the buyer. How can be sure that the the buyer is not getting the WBN?
Thanks,
Susan

Hello Susan,
All of your currently active items did still have the auto-WBN settings in place so we bulk edited them for you to remove it. The WBN was being sent out for the recently closed items, but all of the items yet to close will no longer send these notifications.
I noticed that the WBN were still being sent out for random items, despite the bulk edit you did in July. It appears that they are being sent from items I listed from profiles...would it be possible for you to bulk edit these as well? Or must I spend the time to edit each one individually?

Hello Susan,
The profiles will need to be edited individually to turn this off for your future new listings, unfortunately. After clicking to edit the profile, please scroll down to the bottom of the page and uncheck the box for "Send Winning Bidder Notification (WBN) when auction closes".
For your active listings, you may edit them in bulk by going to "Sales Manager" --> "Control Panel" --> "All Active". Then place check marks in the boxes to the left of the listings where you need to make this change (there is a "Select All" button at the bottom of the page). Click the "Set WBN" button at the top of the page. Select the listings that you need to change (the ones that show "On" in the "Auto WBN" column). Then click the "On - Off" button at the top of the page.

Okay, thanks, that was helpful for the active items I created from Profiles.
It seems though that I spend an inordinate amount of time changing my profile item details over and over again...everytime eBay changes something.
(e.g. WBN, Return policy, Return policy timing, item condtion, shipping prices to cover changes in fees, etc, etc, etc....)
Couldn't a way be found to have an option to change the defaults on all profile items, just like we change the defaults on our account settings?

Hello Susan,
Unfortunately, it is not possible to bulk edit the profile items. If you need the bulk edit functionality, then you should consider switching to Sales Manager Inventory Edition, which was designed for heavy use of inventory. With Sales Manager Inventory Edition you may edit up to 50 inventory items in bulk at a time. If you would like to switch to Inventory Edition you may do so by going to "My Account" --> "My Service Plans" --> "change edition" (below "Sales Manager Merchandising Edition" ).

Thanks, Nathan, but from what I understand that option does not make sense for me as all my items are individual. The profiles are just basic general descriptions by mineral where I still have to fill in details. That was the idea...to just have to fill in the individual characteristics of each piece of quartz, amethyst, topaz, etc. I just never thought I would end up on a merry-go-round of profile editing. Oh well.

Hello Susan,
I do understand, however please be aware that Inventory Edition is still an option for you (even if you are selling unique items). A solution with Inventory Edition would be to create an inventory item with the data that stays the same, that could be copied. Then the copy could be edited when creating new items.
