I was under the impression that if you clicked on the photo that it would basically refresh so it would not be in harm's way of expiring. That is why, even though I might have an item listed for a long time, the photo still remains active. But there are sometimes that I just don't understand how the system works. For example, how can an item that was sold 4 months ago still have an active photo? Then when I found another one of that item and was going to re-use that same photo, I was re-listing and decided to click on it just to make sure it would be good-to-go for the new listing. I then needed to check the size of the photo so went to Image Hosting and it says it's set to expire Sept 5th and it shows the last date it was looked at as June something, even though I just looked at it and it should show today's date! I clicked on "Re-new" and got rid of the expiration date, but I find that confusing. Please explain.

Hello,
I apologize for the confusion. The "last viewed" date is when the image was last viewed in a listing (rather than in your Image Hosting account). So someone would need to click/view a listing that has the image in order for the last viewed date to update.
