What is the procedure for listing a duplicate of an active eBay auction without recreating from scratch? I've seldom had two identical items in active auctions, so it hasn't been an issue with me. Yesterday, I scheduled two identical items using Create Auction twice...going through the whole process of retyping description, uploading photos, etc. There must be a simple function for this...I just don't know it.

I've often relisted identical items from Closed Auctions, using Relaunch.

I need to list an identical active auction tonight. I've searched help topics, message boards, etc...no help. In Auction Manager, I clicked on SELECT and COPY for the auction desired. It's now in PENDING. I'm leaving it there until someone explains the procedure. I don't want to take the chance it might affect my active auction. Also....please explain the functions, COPY and RESET under ACTION in active auctions.

I would like a screen with a mock-up of Auction Manager with arrows and explanations for each function. I'm not from Missouri, but I need a SHOW ME.

Thanks!

Edited to add: It's CONTROL PANEL for which i need the mock-up.....not Auction Manager.

Hi Beachbound,

If you click on the Copy link to the right of the auction you will see it appear in your pending section as a duplicate. You can then edit or launch that auction.

Brian.....Thanks for your quick reply! I assumed that was the procedure, but wasn't sure. Would you please explain RESET?

Hello beachbound,

The Reset button will reset the counter that is attached to that particular auction.

I'm trying to do the same thing. The auction is in the pending now, but when I click resubmit I get an error message. Any help? Thanks!

Hi susan1232,

When I checked your account, there were no items in pending with an error. Try simmply resubmitting them once more, and let us know if they come back in error.

If you can click on the title of that item, and use the eBay preview without error, you should also be able to list that item without error. I was able to log into your account and test this for you.

Susan1232........I believe that happened to me also. Rather than clicking on Relaunch, try clicking on the highlighted blue auction item...such as, Sterling Silver Urn....You will be taken to EDIT. I clicked EDIT to check it out, then eBay PREVIEW...then launched the auction.

You will likely receive a better explanation, but this worked for me

Good Luck!
