Here's the original thread on the problem...

Looks like biffette had minor success and failures on both singular and multiple feedback reminders....

Hi Biffette,

Are you having any other communication errors with your Buyers? For instance, can you send WBN's, or payment reminders? Or is it only the feedback reminder that you are having trouble with?

I've only done single FB reminders at a time. I've lost confidence in the sending of anything thru AW so certainly haven't done the bulk stuff. WBN's seem to be OK though. Since I really detest the title of "Feedback Reminder" but AW refuses to alter it at all, right now I'm just going into each auctions' PSM, selecting the "preview" of the FBR, copying it and then emailing it myself with the title: Auction Follow-Up. At least that way I know they'll get it.
But would certainly like the option to "click and send" when I don't have the time to do the other method. It would be actually VERY nice to have the FBR both work AND have a less obnoxious subject title. I understand from AW's responses, that is simply asking too much.

Hi Biffette,

You should be able to send your feedback reminders now without error. There was a problem that was related to the other issue with Hotmail users not being able to send/receive the WBN and other notices.

This issue has since been corrected, and you should run into no errors with sending from your Post Sale Express now.

Maybe instead of a feedback reminder, it could be an email for finding out if the buyer received their item(s). I know some people just don't mess with feedbacks for whatever reason (maybe they don't know how) but if I don't at least hear from them concerning whether they got the stuff they bought, I never know if the package got lost in the mail or something. Kinda leaves an open end. I hate to delete the auction info on AW until I hear back from them or their 90 days available from the end of the auction to leave feedback has expired. Some like to compare the merchandise with the auction description and the pics but I don't want to leave pictures on AW too long because then I get confused on which pics are old and which ones I still need. Also have a lot of old records that I don't want to delete incase the bidder emails me saying they haven't received their package yet and wants to know the details as to when it was sent, etc. I hate to delete all the info until I'm sure I don't need it anymore.

One of my bidders says he is behind on doing feedbacks by about 100 in the last 2 months but believes that sellers need to leave feedback for them IMMEDIATELY upon receiving the bidders payment. I personally leave feedback for each item upon mailing them rather that when payment arrives just in case the payment is no good and my bank returns it. I've been dealing with a lot of strange people lately.

Two things:

1. The title of the e-mail DEFINITELY needs to be changed - preferably under user options. It >is< rather obnoxious and people who receive it don't feel like providing feedback (just in case they were so inclined).

I've started copying the text out to send as a separate e-mail with the subject, "Post-shipment information request"

2. We really need more than 9 "blue lights"!

o We need one to indicate that we've sent a notice to them asking if they've received their merchandise. For those folks who don't use a delivery confirmation of some kind.

o We need one to indicate whether feedback was received:
- and if so, what kind of feedback it was
- and if not, the ability at that point to send a reminder >including< a link to the feedback page for that item.

Any body think this has merit?

The request to change this title has been asked for MANY times. AW simply refuses to acknowledge this request. They have yet to give one logical reason as to why this cannot or will not be changed.

Christopher: WRONG AGAIN!! The FBR does NOT work now, the box does not check and the square does not turn blue. Please tell me how you arrived at your statement saying it was all fixed now?
Going on 3+ weeks now!!!

When I first joined a year ago the FB box checked, turned blue and left a date as in WBN. After a short time, none of these has worked since that I know of.

Hello,

We have made some changes as to how step 9 works. We have converted this step to be a manual process and is to be manually checked when you have received feedback from your bidder.

Keep in mind though that you can still send the feedback reminder by clicking on the 1 click send link. The only drawback is that this step will not be automatically checked to signify if a reminder has or has not been sent.

We have passed along the suggestions regarding a title change to product development.

Sonya,
What genius thought this up? How are we, with tons of auctions going, supposed to remember WHO we sent the FBR to? Are you going to tell me that all we have to do is select each individual auction, scroll down and see if it says "feedback reminder" or "feedback received" to know the difference? That would be so ridiculous!

So now, not only do we not know who we sent it to, but with that confrontational subject title and then, because it's not checked and we happen to not notice which "choice" the button is now & accidentally send it 2 or 3 times - well - isn't that going to be fun reading all the nasty emails back from customers!!

It's a completely non-sensical idea to NOT have them automatically checked!! It's like you're trying to make 1 button do the work of 2 - request feedback and receive feedback!!

It's a poorly thought out, sloppy and inefficient change to a record keeping system whose customer's depend on for the expressed purpose of keeping all the many details of each auction in neat & tidy order!! Isn't that the whole purpose here? Or are we now supposed to start guessing what we've done or haven't done?
