Checkout is a nightmare! Unless we all want to list with eBay, we are going to have problems with Checkout. Buy it Now buyers automatically receive an invoice from BillPoint which for us AW users does not include our shipping charges. Then we have to email the buyers to ask for our shipping charge as a seperate payment. It has already happened to me, so what I want to know is: Is there a way for us to eliminate Checkout from appearing on our auctions? I want no part of it!!! Right now, I am looking at revising 50+ auctions, and I can think of better things to do with my time!! Would cancelling my BillPoint account end this or would it still show up on Buy it Now? What options do we have? Thanks for any advice...
We are currently working with eBay engineers to resolve issues related to eBay checkout. Shipping fees are incorrectly being set to $0 when the Billpoint payment option is enabled. eBay will be making modifications to the interface this evening that will allow us to address this problem. We will provide an update on this problem in the morning, after eBay has completed their update.
We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.

But right now, you could default AW listings to check the "I am not specifying Checkout details" radio button by default -- INSTEAD of the "I am specifying Checkout details below (shipping, handling, etc) so that my buyers can pay me immediately after my listing ends" radio button.
When I hit relist on two items today, AW and/or ebay defaulted to the "I am specifying" instead of the "I am not".
This is a bug somewhere. If AW does not provide a place for us TO provide this info, then we are clearly NOT providing this info.
If you launch your auctions without checkout information, eBay is currently inserting the following statement above the checkout fields:
"Seller will provide these details in the item description or after the listing ends."
The checkout fields will be filled with dotted lines instead of 0.00.
The only case that we are aware of wherein the shipping field is filled in with $0.00 is if an original item was listed with the Billpoint option selected, and on relist Billpoint is de-selected.
We are continuing to look into this and will keep you posted.
Thank you for your patience.
Regards,
Diana

Hi peiklk,
I've tested this from my own account several times, and the only time I'm receiving $0.00 is on a relist where Billpoint was orininally selected and has been deselected.
We are still experiencing this problem, but other checkout/Billpoint related problems appear to be fixed. We have escalated the relist issue to eBay, and will have to wait for their assistance in fixing it.
The only other problem that we're aware of is that users are unable to launch items with a list, reserve, or Buy It Now price over $500 with Billpoint selected. We are working on resolving this issue as well.
If you experience any other trouble listing, please let us know.

Something's NOT QUITE RIGHT here...
You're on record as having stated:
<<The only case that we are aware of wherein the shipping field is filled in with $0.00 is if an original item was listed with the Billpoint option selected, and on relist Billpoint is de-selected. >>
I DO NOT use Billpoint - so I never changed it - and everyone of my 9 relists from last night ended up with that infernal bullet checked indicating that Checkout shipping was $0.00!
I'm in the middle of revising all of them right now.
Please get the code to prevent this from happening into the eBay preview ASAP!
Thanks!
/ps/
If anyone needs to revise their eBay listings and is having problems, please download the free Opera browser (www.opera.com) - it works like a charm!

Right -- and I reported this to AW the other night and then I'm told they only KNOW about the one error -- I JUST TOLD YOU ABOUT ANOTHER ONE! Check it!
