When I create an auction and "save" an item to inventory, why does this auction item *not* get removed from inventory when the item sells?
Why does inventory say, "Qty Available 1" after the auction closes successfully?
When I revise my items to have my SKU, then an auction sells, why do my invoices *not* contain my SKU anywhere?
I have attempted creating Inventory items *before* launching auctions, but then I get charged for picture hosting...
... I have no understanding of how to make inventory function properly:
* Host my image without charge, but be able create inventory before launching
* Print my SKU -- as well as the auction # -- on my invoice.
* Keep accurate count of inventory as auctions close.

Hi Ddeva,
By checking the option to save your item to inventory, you are essentially saving a copy of the item you are creating to your inventory. In order to have the quantity get decreased you would have to launch the item from your inventory. The item itself will not disappear from your inventory anyway -- should the quantity reach zero, it would say zero and still remain in inventory.
When revising your items to contain your SKU, where are you placing the SKU? The inventory SKU number does not print out on the packing slip unless you were to include it in your title.
You shouldn't be charged for image hosting if you are launching from your inventory. As long as you launch from AW there should be no image charge so if this is happening to your account, let me know some sample ID numbers I can take a look at.

When I create an item in inventory and attach an image, I am sent to a page that tells me about fees. So I assume that image hosting for straight inventory - not yet launched at auction -- is fee-based?
I like to get my images attached to inventory/auctions right away. But it appears that in order not to be charged an image fee and get proper inventory tracking, I must
a) create an item in inventory WITHOUT images attached
b) launch auction from inventory, attaching images then
c) just live with the fact that my SKU won't print (not good! many of my items are similar in title, such as 2 pair of same brand/same size jeans, but *not* same cut - so critical that appropriate item ship.)

Hi Ddeva,
With the plan you are currently on, Image Hosting for you is free and unlimited. There is no charge to attach images to your inventory regardless. You can store items in your inventory that have pictures attached to them.
