I was just filling in the customer info for someone who sent me their information directly, who indicated they wished to pay by money order. After filling in all the information and clicking though to the final page, when what to my astonished eyes appears but a large ad and link to BidPay, inviting the buyer to send an electronic money order to pay for their purchase.

By whose authority is this link being placed on my page? I am not registered with BidPay, do not advertise BidPay as a form of payment in my auctions, nor do I wish to fool with BidPay even if it's free. I consider this to be spamming my customer and would like to see it discontinued.

Hi Abqsales,

I checked your preferences and you did have the option checked to include a BidPay banner. I went ahead and removed it for you, so this should not longer appear when your winners select money order as a payment method.

My apologies. I have no idea how it got checked. I've never accepted bidpay and never before seen a banner on a post-sale page. I should have checked the preferences first. Sorry, and thanks, Sonya.

Sonya, where is this option available? I went to check "My Account" and could not find it anywhere.

Hi Kahml,

It's in Global Preferences as a subselection to the Money Order option. Let me know if you have trouble locating it.

Why is the link so big? I don't see any reason for it to be any bigger than what is used on an ebay auction. If it stays so big I am also going to turn bidpay off.
