I haven't yet launched an auction with AW yet (I currently use Andale but I'm looking to switch) so some of these may become intuitive once I do, but since I'm afraid of screwing something up I figured it's best to get my questions answered first before I do.

What is the recommended way for handling shipping of items where the buyer pays ACTUAL shipping charges?

In the shipping categories, it looks like it wants to prompt me for a fixed amount?

I saw that if I leave the items unfilled then the preview doesn't show "UPS Ground - $7.70".

During the checkout process, can I manually enter in the shipping charges once I receive the buyer's shipping address?

Hi Gellenburg,

The best way to handle actual shipping charges is to wait for the auction to close, and find out the zip code of the buyer. You could do this by emailing them at the close of the auction to say that you'll send a customized WBN form when they let you know their zip code, or include text in the auction saying to email you upon close of the auction the zip code so you can calculate actual shipping charges. You would be sending your WBNs manually.

If you are sending your WBNs automatically you have to input a shipping denomination. That is why you are prompted to enter a fixed amount.

What do you mean by leaving items unfilled?

If you received the buyer's address prior to sending out any WBN, you can edit the WBN for that auction to include the actual shipping, then fill it out yourself and enter your buyer's information.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
