I went into global preferences to change default description info in auction seller's preferences. I tried to save changes and keep getting the following error. My zip has not changed in 32 years. What's up?

Please correct the following errors:
Error trying to authenticate your zipcode: 7003 : USPS API return an unknown reponse
Please try again later.

Error trying to authenticate your zipcode: 7053 : Error parsing xml :
Please try again later.

Hello,

Where do you get this error -- when you try to launch an auction or if you try to save your global preferences?

Hello,

I just went through and saved it, and didn't get any error. If you run into any problems during checkout please let me know.

Sonya

I don't know what you refer to with the checkout. Maybe it saved them in spite of the error message. I kept checking back yesterday and got the same 2 errors each time.

Hi Larrkpoodle,

Is the zip code correct in global preferences? If so, I wouldn't worry about it for now. What I meant by checkout was, if you have a customer going through post sale and they run into a problem with it, let me know (since you had said you had trouble saving your zip code).

Sonya

I wasn't saving zip code. I made changes to postal rates & other tweaks. Zip has always been the same. I merely checked to make sure something hadn't glitched. Will programs ever stop being so sensitive???? Seems one long standing problem gets fixed and another pops up.

Hello,

I still cannot reproduce the error that you got so if everything is how you want it to look in Global Preferences, I wouldn't worry about it.

Regards,

Sonya
