Hi. Great site and name change!!! Thanks!!!
2 Questions:

1)The new FAQs gave how to change the url for embedded listings, but not the time frame of the switch over. I won't need to make any changes to my image names in image hosting, only in my current listings. Is there a need to go in and change the image html at ebay if they will be running with less than a week left to go, or will there be enough time lag in the changeover that it is OK to just start using the new url from now on?

2) I went to change the store address/url, but it is already changed by the site. Have all the default urls been changed for post sale management as well, or do we need to go in and edit our WBN links and anything that said auctionwatch before as a default (I realize I will have to edit the things I myself typed in to my letters and listings)

Thanks!

Hi Passedtothepresent,

Thank you for your feedback!

You can leave your active auctions alone -- the URL in them won't expire, so you can just go ahead and start changing them for auctions you are working on right now.

I am checking on the default URL for the WBN right now. If you had edited your defaults with your store name (or any other AuctionWatch related links) you can edit them to say Vendio. If someone clicks on an AuctionWatch link, it will redirect them to the new one so either way you are safe.

Regards,

Sonya

Thanks Sonya. I have already changed my terminology in the post sale stuff, but several situations have Vendio/AW adding the site defaults at the bottom that do not always show up to our preview. As far as you know will these all get automatically changed by the site also?
I have been to Froogle and the listing format there has changed slightly for my stuff, but the location/info on my items is still coming up "Auctionwatch" and the reference to "See all Auctionwatch (listings, implied)" instead of Vendio. Is there something I need to change somewhere for that to change at Froogle, or is there just a time delay in the change catching up to the search engine (I am not sure how much time is set for the webcrawler to access the new vendio site changes).
Thanks bunches.

Hello,

Can you point out where the defaults are? Once I know which ones you are referring to, I can check on them with engineering.

We submit a daily feed to Froogle so your new store URL will be sent to them. I'm not sure what their update schedule is for their search engines. Either way, your shop.auctionwatch.com URL will redirect to your new vendio URL so people will always be able to locate your store.

Sonya

Hi Sonya. Lets see... I'm not sure where they all are, they seem to be scattered through the system. One shows up on the bottom of the WBN when I receive the copy but it is not seen in my screen to be able to edit. I assume there is probably one that defaults at the bottom of the WBN reminder also (at least I hope so). Some show up in store communications, and obviously in the customer manager defaults for composing messages --that one I can see so I can check it myself. I don't really need someone to bird dog every possible location, I was just asking to know if all the site controlled ones would be automatically changed or I had to go special places to edit some things under the new system. I'll check on Froogle again in a couple of days or so and write if it's not fixed by then.
Hope you also got my raves in another thread for the Vendio name change and fab new site--much easier to read and much faster operation. Thanks mucho mucho to all at Vendio!
