I do not know if this has been asked before but I can't find it listed.
Several times when my customer goes to their checkout page and fills in their address and payment info, they think they have paid me automatically.
This is despite the warning that "clicking here does NOT automatically make a payment" (or something to that effect).
If they have selected Paypal, they email me saying "Please send item right away". I let them know that they have not paid, but they insist they did on my checkout site.
If they have selected other options, they email me asking for my address.
What happens when they click away without completing the checkout?
Does Vendio send them to a page warning "Your checkout is NOT complete - Click here to pay with Paypal or click here for address to send your payment"?
Or does it just allow them to leave the site without completing?
This happens at least two or three times at every EOA.
We have buttons that the customer must click in order to confirm each step of checkout, and then the finalization of the checkout process. Unfortunately there are some people who will stop filling out a form when it has not been confirmed. At the end of checkout it says up top that they must click the following link to pay by Paypal, and then a button link for them to go there and pay for the item.
If your customer does not complete checkout nothing happens -- it acts as if it was not touched.
If you are continuously having trouble we recommend you put in your listings and in your PSM notices that checkout must be completed in full and that the payment must be made by clicking the appropriate link after checkout.
