I've been having a problem for about a week now that's bugging me.

When I "check" the gallery option, then go to type in my image name, the check box reverts back to "no gallery". If I don't RE check it, I end up with no gallery picture even though I have selected an image for it.

It's uncomfortable having to remember to re-select gallery after I already had and I'm wondering why the box selection isn't holding.

Thanks,
Kathy

OK -- I can clarify when this is happening:

if I check the gallery option, then go to the shortcut box to type in my picture name .... if I mis-type the name and the first two letters I type in do not match any of my pictures, the gallery box un-checks itself and jumps back up to "no gallery".

Realizing that I've mistyped, if I backspace and correct my picture name, then I show a picture in the preview box and precede on with preparing the auction. Unless I look, I don't realize that the gallery option has unchecked itself.

This is unfortunate programming, because the chances of mis-typing an image name is high, and the chances of correcting that name and getting the proper preview image is high, and the chances of noticing that gallery has turned itself off is low.

Why can't the gallery option check box hold? That's not a user-friendly situation.

Hello,

The Quick Find field is to help you locate the image you want quicker, in the drop down menu that is right underneath it. The idea is that you would type in the first letter or two of the name of the image, then click on that drop down to select it (it automatically moves your selection to all images starting with that letter). I will forward your comments on to Product Development, however we do recommend that you type in the first letter or so then choose your image from the list so that you don't have to keep doing the extra clicks.

Regards,

Sonya

Thanks -- I do get the concept, but here's a good example of why this happens to me so often:

I have an assistant who's not the world's greatest speller. Maybe something should start with "sch", and she names it starting with only "sh".

I type in "sc" as my first two letters, and the gallery un-selects because I don't have any pictures that start with "sc". In the meantime, I've realized she spelled it "sh". I backspace to delete the "c" and replace it with "h". Now I have "sh" typed into the quick pick, and a thumbnail of the picture I want appears.

If I don't look back over and notice that gallery has been unselected, I proceed on my merry way thinking that I have, indeed, checked the gallery box, and even have a thumbnail of the picture I want to use.

I'm not saying this is an obstacle I can't overcome ..... of course I can. I'm just saying that it seems like the programming shouldn't be designed to un-select something that the user has selected.

It's just a quirk in the program I thought you might want to know about, and one that I personally wish you would fix because it's not working in the user's favor.

Thanks.
