Frequently, when I list (or relist) an item using Sales Manager, the smart counter doesn't work. It stays at 0 even when the auction is visited.
The only way I've found to unstick it is to change it to a Simple Counter, hit the page a few times, and then change it back. These manual steps are inconvenient at best. I have to look at every auction after it is launched to determine whether the counter is working and if not, "fix it".
Why does this happen and how to prevent it?
(I do not have any that are currently stuck, because I just "unstuck" it.)

Hello,
You may want to try clearing your browser cache and then doing a page refresh if this should happen again. It is possible when you are viewing the listing or viewing Sales Manager, you are viewing a cached page. If you run into this problem again, please let us know the item number and what the count is when you viewed it, so we can investigate the problem.

I don't think it's in the cache since this is the first time I've looked at that new auction page, so I wouldn't think it could be in the cache yet.
My hit isn't counting.
Here's a new example, ebay item 2790411477.
And here's another: 2790411479

Hello,
I checked the two auctions and the counter increased to three. It is also showing as 3 in Sales Manager. Please try clearing your cache and restarting your browser if you cannot see the new count for your auctions.

Hi there,
Just wanted to pop in and remind you also that smart counters will not count back to back hits from an IP address in the same 'block' - so if you are trying to get the smart counter to increment, this will not work unless you have someone else remotely view the listing first.

Hi -
I think I've figured out what the problem is.
It's not the cache in my browser.
Apparently, when a Vendio counter is 'cleared' - either during a Relist or by manually hitting the reset button -it does not lose its knowledge of who the last IP address was.
So, if I was the last one to look at an auction and then I relist it, the smart counter still remembers my ip address and refuses to budge until the page is hit from a different ip address.
I think the 'clear' or 'reset' operation should also clean out this saved history.
