Hello anyone in customer support: Can you tell me what this means?
Error 5112: Attribute Set Id does not match category.
Attribute Set Id "1302" does not match category you have entered. No VCS for primary category. No VCS for secondary category. Attribute System Version 2670.
Note: this error may be related to the Item Specifics content you entered. Please review content in 'other' fields in the Item Specifics section for validity and number of characters.
This is in specific reference to the Eagle Bookends auction I am trying to launch. EBay will not accept it. I have double checked this and neither one of the two categories I am listing this in has Item Specifics. HELP!

Hi Lennonhall,
The error you are receiving is the result of an eBay API error, which eBay is working on correcting as quickly as possible. To work around it, you could try the following:
1. Copy the pending listing and launch the copy. This may enable you to list from our site, but will result in the item being ineligible for eBay's insertion fee credit (if the item is a relist that is eligible.)
2. Relist the item(s) directly from the eBay website, then track them into Sales Manager by using the 'Track Other Listings' link on the top of the Sales Manager tab. Please note that this will result in image hosting fees being applied to your Vendio account if you are on the Pay as you Go plan (the image hosting fees will be in lieu of a listing / final value fee.) Also, this will affect your inventory count if these were originally launched from Vendio inventory. You should check your inventory quantities and manually update your inventory totals if these items sell the second time around.

Sonya - thanks for the quick reply but these are NOT relists. These are brand new auctions and I'm uncertain as to how this workaround applies to new auctions.

WILL SOMEONE FROM VENDIO PLEASE REPLY TO THIS? I CANNOT LAUNCH ANY AUCTIONS BECAUSE OF THIS ERROR MESSAGE. Please take a look at my pending auctions ... the ones that are in capital letters are ready to launch and I keep getting error 5112.
These are NOT relists. The workaround that Sonya gave me is for relists. These are NEW auctions and I cannot list anything. I really need help here please.
Please locate the Category section on the create listing page (underneath templates, above Features) and click on the Edit Category button. In some cases, after you do this, you will need to reselect your category starting with the Top Category -- but in most cases, hitting the Continue button will be sufficient. After selecting your category, you will be returned to the create listing page. Scroll down to the category selection area, where you should see some item specifics options. Fill them out, then Save your listing and proceed with launch.
If this doesn't work, please let us know if it is okay to try to launch one of your items.
Regards,
Sonya

Sonya - I've already done this. SEVERAL TIMES. I'm a power seller so I can figure out most of these workarounds myself. NONE of these auctions I'm trying to launch are in categories that have item specifics. That's what the error is and that is the cause of the entire error message!! These categories have NO item specifics and yet eBay is returning an error that says my item specifics are incorrect.
I really, really need to have straight answers here. We are not communicating. I'm starting to think I am getting a runaround.
I am going to complete rebuild an auction from scratch and try is again. This is a HUGE WASTE OF TIME and my patience is running real thin about now.
I gave suggestions for you to try as it was not evident to me you'd tried these yet. We apologize if you feel that this is us brushing off the problem, as that is not the case.
Since you have pretty much kept track of what has been suggested to correct item specifics, you may have seen a mention or two somewhere that whenever eBay makes changes like this, some attribute errors may occur for a day but disappear the next after both their system and our system adjust to the change. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I will repeat what I said before:
These were NOT categories with item specifics ... not now, nor ever. Yet the error message I was getting related specifically to item specifics.
They were NOT relists. I had already tried going back and "pretending" to change the categories.
