Hi, I am wondering what is the best way to create nearly identical listings with different SKU's and photos? I sell a lot of used consumer electronics which are in various conditions of cosmetic damage. When I have multiple units of the same model, I keep much of the description the same but just change minor details such as the condition of the item, the SKU in my inventory organization system, and the photos associated with the listing. Is there an efficent way I can change these details and execute a "save as new listing" or something similar?
Then I would like to be able to come back to that inventory item, make a few minor changes, "save as new listing" again, and so on. I am new to Vendio and am not seeing this feature in the Inventory area of the Sales manager and I am just wondering if there is something similar in sales manager or elsewhere in the system.
What would be even better is if there is a way I can set up merge fields within my listings where I just type the details and SKU of the item and merge with the template for that model. Is this or a similar feature available at all?
Unfortunately there is no copy feature in inventory so if you wanted to save multiples of an item, you can start off with a basic item in pending. Go to the edit screen for that listing, enter in all your information, then click on the 'save item to inventory' option at the bottom of the page and this will copy the item into your inventory. You can keep on doing this to send multiples of that item into your inventory.
In your inventory, you have the option of launching directly from inventory, or saving the item as a profile item which can be chosen when you begin a listing (right above where you select categories). For what you are trying to do, I think that a profile item might help you -- when you're editing your inventory item you will see the 'save as profile item' option in the upper right hand side of your screen.
