Hi, for the past 2 days my auctions have launched to ebay with the wrong site specifics for where I ship to. My auctions are showing that I ship to Canada, but not the US. My ebay site specifics have always been set for shipping to both the US and Canada, but the US part is now not being shown in my auctions. Please let me know how this is happening, as I have not made any changes to my ebay site specifics. An example of the problem can be seen here- ebay item # 5160828093

Hi, please let me know as soon as possible, as my auctions that were launched tonight continue to not show the US as a country I ship to. Here's another one that was launched tonight- ebay item 5161338334
This is causing major headaches, because US bidders are now blocked from bidding on my auctions since I have the ebay preference that doesn't allow bidders from countries I don't ship to. Since the US is now not listed on my auctions, no US bidders can bid.
Have you tried enabling the "include in distance based searches" feature? I noticed that this is disabled in your listings and I'm thinking maybe this has something to do with the problem. I enabled the feature in my listing (below) and shipping to US and Canada is displayed:

Diana, I jut did your suggestion, and launched an auction. No help. Same problem.(Ebay Item 5161462590). This cannot be the cause of the problem, as my site specifics have not changed in over a year. This just started happening a few days agao, and now every auction is showing Canada as the only country I will ship to. Why is the US not showing up all of a sudden? Can someone in your technical department please look into my account and see what is happening? Feel free to launch an auction from my account if you need to. I have changed nothing, and this should not be happening.
I have copied the item you just launched to your pending listings file, and the distance-based searches option is not selected. If this item was created and saved before you changed the preferences, you'd need to edit the pending listing for the change to take effect. If you revise your preferences it will only affect new items created after you make the change.
Please give it another shot, and let us know if the problem continues.

Diana, I just created a new auction with the distance based search option activated.(item # 5161491021) Same problem. This is not what is causing this, because this just started 3 days ago. This is definitely a technical problem on your end. As I stated before, I have made no changes to my site preferences, and have been launching successfully without this problem, every day for 3 years. This is a technical problem somewhere in my account. Can we please have someone from the tech staff look into this. This is now a major problem for me, as US bidders are being blocked from bidding on my items.

Any updates, please? I have several auctions scheduled for launch tonight and the problem is not fixed. The problem is from your end, not mine. I need a tech to look into my account please.
I am sorry, I don't know what is causing this. I cannot replicate the problem in my own account. The only thing I can think at this point (other than a technical issue on our side) is that there's some setting at eBay that is causing the problem. Please check your My eBay preferences to see if you can find a preference that might be set to exclude distance-based searches. We have notified engineering, but unfortunately it is Sunday and it is unlikely that anyone will be able to look at it until tomorrow. We will have someone check on it as soon as possible, and I apologize for the inconvenience.

Thanks Diana. I've made no changes to my ebay preferences, so it looks like it's something on your end. I'd appreciate having someone look at it on Monday. Thanks again.

Same here. I think it is an Ebay issue, though. I went into an auction that had UK NOT listed, when I do have UK checked off in all my preferences. I went into "revise" at Ebay. It gives you the option of europe, uk, germany, etc.
If you have Europe AND UK checked off, then only Europe shows in the listing. If you uncheck just europe, then UK DOES show up in the listing again.
USA does not show up if you have Americas checked off. Why??

It is not an ebay issue. It's a Vendio issue. Here's why... I have listed the same items over and over again for 3 years with no changes being made in my ebay site specifics on Vendio and no changes to my preferences on ebay, and every item has always had the US and Canada as shipping destinations.. When an item is sold and then relisted, the shipping destinations are OK (both US and Canada appear in the ebay auction) see item # 5161647790. When an item is not sold, and then relisted, Canada appears but not the US (see item 5161647734). This is a technical problem that is occuring on Vendio's side when the item is launched. Please check into this. This is now day 5 of this problem for me.

Hmmm - it does look like the problem could be originating on eBay's side. mipakaco - can you try launching a listing from eBay directly (with the same options selected) and see if you get the same results? Also - please let us know how your My eBay preferences are set up. I am not sure why this is happening in your account but not in my own.
I know Canada is not part of "Americas', but according to LIve Help, Ebay's version of "americas" means North America and South America. All the countries located in North and South America, so Canada WOULD be included.

Hi nycdesigns,
Thanks for the info. That is awfully strange, and it is sounding more and more like a glitch in eBay's system. We will continue to look into this on our end, though. Thanks again.

Well, the shipping destination problem is in fact, an ebay problem. I emailed powerseller support about it and here is the reply I got from them-
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us. I appreciate the opportunity to assist you
with your questions.
The problem that you explain that you are encountering is a problem that
has been affecting many members for the past few days. This is something
that has in fact been reported and is being worked on currently. My
apologies for the troubles. I do recognize that this is no small
concern. As a temporary workaround for this issue, please sign into the
affected items and click "revise your listing" and sign in there to edit
it. Once in there locate and click the "edit payment and shipping" link
and then scroll down and check "Will not ship - local pickup only." Once
you check that, scroll down and click "save changes" to be taken to the
review and submit page. Once there, click once again on the "edit
payment and shipping" link and change it BACK to "will ship to US and
Canada." then save changes on the bottom of the page and "submit
revisions" on the next page. This should be a temporary workaround as we
rush to solve that. Let us know if that does not help.
Again, thank you for your understanding and patience as we rush to fix
this problem. It is my pleasure to assist you. Thank you for choosing
eBay.

That explains the USA missing.
But what about not being able to block Canada if you choose "Americas"?? Like this listing.....I did NOT check off Canada. I also have my ebay settings set to "block bidders from countries to which I don't ship".
I did check off "Americas", as I do not wish to exclude South America and Central America.
A Canadian bidder is the bidder on this auction. How can that be? I did NOT choose Canada as a ship to destination.
Same thing with Germany. If you do NOT check off Germany as a "ship to", but you do check off Europe (since I don't want to exclude ALL of europe, just germany), then Germany is allowed. Why? Why have Germany listed seperately, yet you really cannot block Germany as an option unless you block ALL of europe?

Lori, it looks like ebay is having a terrible mess with the ship to countries. Looks like some problem with countries not being listed, countries that you don't want listed, omitting countries that you do have listed, et. I also had a block on bidders from countries I don't ship to. When they started omitting the US from my listings, all US bidders were blocked (BIG MESS there). I had to remove the block, and now all bidders can bid. Not the best solution, as now anyone from any country can bid, which I don't want, but it's the only solution I could do until they fix this mess.

Thanks mipakaco. Looks like I was hit with the other glitch too.....just received an email from a buyer in the USA who was BLOCKED from bidding because Ebay shows that I only ship to Europe, Austrlia and Japan
Just checked all my listings and that glitch (omitting of USA) seems to be on quite a few.
Guess I'll be revising this evening. Sigh.
I sent PS support an email about the shipping fiasco and received a canned response about "How to revise listings"
