I am switching to marketworks. Customers can't checkout and haven't been for a couple of days. Paying $100 a month for crappy service. I'd rather pay double and get decent results.

Dear Jared,

The reason your buyers have been having trouble is because we just released a new checkout system which will ultimately improve their experience. There are a few bugs in the system that we are working on correcting right now. We believe most of the problems being reported in these forums will be resolved very shortly, and I promise you that the checkout system will be equivalent if not superior to any of our high-cost competitors in a very short time. Hang in there, and thank you for your patience!

Best regards,

Diana

Ok well i'll give you another chance. I don't understand why you guys can't get the bugs out before you release the new implementation.

the thing is that you guys have had months to figure this out. we are not just losing money today this has been going on forever and now it is like Niagara falls.
I am paying the same range as the poster and it is more than that fee. it is all of the lost sales because they(bidders) are not seeing the entire picture when and if they can check out.

Maybe this should have went live over the weekend when business is a little slower. I work everyday and will have to work even longer hours now that my site is in a shambles. Sometimes you have to work a little longer on things.

Hi there,

We actually did extensive testing on this before we released it. Unfortunately, it is nearly impossible to predict the different combinations of variables in our system, eBay's, and also customer processes. We did our best to make the release as smooth as possible, and most of the bugs noted have been fixed as of this morning (thanks to our hard working engineering group!) Thank you again for your patience while we worked the kinks out of the new system.

Best regards,

Diana

<<Paying $100 a month for crappy service>>

I'm spending an avereage of $150.00 every month, and I can't get a simple question answered.

every 24 hours I get a sentence or two with no response to a simple question.

All I want is to have the system work like before.I don't even use check out and I don't plan to use right now.I use ebay checkout, but I can't even edit shipping in vendio.

By the way I just received a call yesterday from Andale with an irresitable offer that made me feel like I was ripped off all these years using vendio.

I challenge you Vendio, that my issue will take less than 2 min to resolve because it's very simple, but yet I can't get support from you!!

Hello nlptapesnow,

What is the question? I checked your posts to this forum back into April but missed anything that went unanswered. Just let us know what this quick question is and if you have the answer available, we'll certainly let you know.

Christopher

christopher,

the question I was refering to was sent through email 2 days ago.

here is the issue:

I am unable to edit "checkout" under site specifics

The lame answer I received is to use global setting.I can not use one sh value for all my items.I have diffrent products that require different shipping.

I was always able to edit it until 2 or 3 days ago.

this issue applies to all my inventory items and even new inventory

My business is on hold for 2 days because I can't assighn shipping values for my items

Hello nlptapesnow,

Unfortunately this is a result of the changes made and AOL. There are a number of odd issues that AOL runs into anytime we make a change and outside of forcing the page to refresh a few times (CTRL+F5) - the best way to deal with this is to try launcing Internet Explorer from outside of your AOL window and trying from directly within IE instead.

If you use AOL to connect and not just over a DSL line, you may also need to refresh the page once or twice directly in IE but chances are you will be able to simply start editing per usual when you eliminate AOL from the scenario.

Regards,
Christopher

I think Vendio is an awesome company, and the customer service can't be beat. Yes, sometimes there are glitches that do screw up our businesses for a few hours, but come on...How often does it really happen? Once every 6 months? eBay and every other internet site on the planet has glitches that arise when their software is updated. Why do you expect Vendio to be any different?

The reason I stick with Vendio is that other companies have no idea who their customers are. The support staff at Vendio knows my name, remembers my past issues and takes the time to answer my questions in detail.

Why don't you guys give them a break? It's not like they're ignoring the issues that have arisen. They changed a lot of stuff. Did you really expect these huge changes to go off without a hitch?

Not that anyone asked me for my opinion, but I want to second mandaray3's post above.

I was a software developer for 30 years before opening an eBay Drop Center (that's right, I started with punch cards). I was a damned good one. Even in the days when systems were much more "closed" and uni-dimensional, it was not always possible to release software without a glitch. There was a reason we wore pagers, and it wasn't for dealing drugs

Vendio does a very good job. They could do better in some areas, but couldn't we all?

nlptapesnow, if you want to switch, I can understand that. But to Andale? Are you kidding? For customer support you'd switch to Andale? Do yourself a big favor and find another option. If Andale is the answer, you're asking the wrong question.

I was a little steamed with the problems also but I got over it Here's something to think about. When's the last time you saw Microsoft release a new Windows operating system that had no glitch's. Hmmmmmmmmmmm, I can't think of any, and look how huge Microsoft is. They have to have one of the world's largest assembly of programmers and they alway's have problem's after release. Unfornatually it's a part of the computer game. Until a program actually launch's and the actual end users get to use it for a while I don't think there's much more that could be done. I have to say that all of the problems I expierenced with the system release in my opinion got fixed very quickly. If you ever have a problem the best thing to do FIRST is drop vendio a email and tell them about the problem, they can't fix it if they don't know there's a problem, and then realize how many lines of code these poor programmers have to go through to find what is causing the problem. I personally am not a programmer but I know some people who are and I have seen how much data there is involved in even the most basic program. And somewhere buried in all of that code is one little error that they have to find. Overall I am very happy with Vendio. Where else are you going to get all these features for the value. I did a little checking and I can't find a better deal, best bang for the buck and I think a very friendly and speedy customer service and technical service department. If I had only one thing to say about vendio it would be "Thank you for the great service and support and keep up the good work".

I have to agree with mandaray, cash and mike - I may rant when things don't go right (It's mostly to get Customer Service reps to TAKE NOTICE because this forum seems to be the only place we can communicate our problems with the system) but I also appreciate all that Vendio does and the quick fix responses to most problems.

Well i don't know if i am over my melt down on Tuesday night.
I just know that the cash is not coming in and we are being charged a lot of money.
Vendio should at least offer free listings for a week to make up for this mess.
Uncertainty is always going to be there but this is just another thing we have to worry about day in and day out.
It would be one thing if they paid us to test drive their soft ware.
But to have us pay and lose money!
GIVE ME A BREAK!
OK I can breath now.
I came to this board because my upload stalled
it had to be restarted and finished.
Bottom line is Vendio has to do some damage control with the loyal customers.
We cant be used as guinea pigs and pay for it.
