I ship internationally. There is NO way that I am going to pack, weigh and look up shipping cost to every imaginable country outside the US!!
If I select (in Global) that I want to ship internationally, Vendio MAKES me put in a shipping cost; or, select NO to international shipping.
If I say NO to international shipping, my international customers cannot check out.
When the item sells internationally, I try to quickly go in, change the closed item to international (AFTER I know which country I will be shipping to). It still will not let my international customer checkout.
I CANNOT ship to the UK for the same cost as shipping to the Canada! Australia costs more than the UK. There's not enough open blank boxes to input the shipping cost to EVERY country.
Unfortunately the new system manages international shipping the same as the old one; where without a shipping option to select they cannot checkout. Actually, in the old system they technically could have selected a domestic shipping option where the new system will keep your international buyers from selecting domestic options.
We do have calculated shipping for international buyers in the works but for now these will need to be managed the same way as in the past - where you contact the buyer after the auction is over so you can calculate the cost, then edit the WBN to add the international carrier/cost so they can checkout.
Alternatively, users in the old system (some anyway) were using one of the custom fields to list the carrier as 'please contact first' and entering anything as the cost (to really be sure someone doesn't checkout using 'please contact first as a carrier you could put in a high amount - something one of our sellers reporting working well for them.)
Let us know if you have any questions while setting this up.
