The eBay system will be undergoing general maintenance from approximately 23:00 PDT on Thursday, August 25th to 01:00 PDT on Friday, August 26th. During this maintenance period, certain eBay site features may be intermittently unavailable or slow.

Hi there,

We are looking into this now. Do you have copies of the images? If you do, you can delete and reupload them and it should resolve the issue.

I will update you on this as soon as possible.

Thanks,

Diana

I have over 1,600 auctions. My pictures are all saved in vendio picture hosting sight. It would take me forever to go through all of my auctions to find out what ones have bad pictures. I randomally checked around 30 different auctions and out of the 30 at least 8 of them were messed up. In not way do I have time go check all 1,600. My auctins were all fine when they were listed. HELP!

Here's a few numbers of messed up auctions maybe you can tell if they have anything in common.
5586396670 5607489348 7147301314 5569894850 5564456607 5511428634

5607487912 5607471485 5606566413 5606535453 5606255920
These go on and on and on I don't see anything in common they don't have the same template. I didn't use all the same colors for font. About 1/2 of the auctins that I randomaly clicked on are messed up. These weren't even all scanned on the same scanner. Some are new auctions some are old.

Someone just emailed for a better pic, and I'm having the same problems. I tried to look using the thumbnails in my store, and I found some that had bad thumbnail photos but the inside photo was good. But the one that the customer emailed about, the thumbnail was good but the inside photo was bad. That auction is #598155090. Some of the bad thumbnail photo auctions are 5995674249, 5995674265, 599674274. I also don't have time to click into every auction and see if it's working but would have to rely on customers emailing me. I am totally unhappy about this and hope that something is done as quickly as possible. I have no idea how to delete and add a photo that is currently listed and really don't have the time to do it.

toyspast thank you so much for posting that you are also having problems. At least I know its not just my html code gone bad. I thought it was just me. I have 56 pages and 1674 listings. It would take me forever to check all of them and re-edit pictures. I haven't gotten anything accomplished all day just trying to find out what has gone wrong.
Thank you,
Valorie

Hi there,

Per our announcement:

We have recently identified that some images have been corrupted after a disk replacement in the image hosting system on Thursday, 8/25. We will be fixing images involved over the next several hours. If you would like to fix existing images immediately, you can delete and replace the existing image files that appear corrupted in your Image Hosting account using the same file name. The newly uploaded images will then be available for existing listings as well as new ones. We apologize for any inconvenience this hardware fault has caused.

We are in the process of restoring images that were corrupted and expect this process to be completed within the next few hours.

Thank you for your patience.

Best regards,

Diana

Well, add me to the list....not only are my ebay pictures horrible, but the ones uploaded from my system (perfect) to Vendio (blurred, distorted and fuzzy junk), but now, like you, I have no way to fix this. I'll have to terminate my auctions and take a loss on the listing fees...etc....not to mention ticking off the bidders who are already on there....and talk about emails!!! 25 asking for clearer, lighter and less blurred pictures, so they can bid!!!! Man o man...what a bummer.....and what do they have on the help page???? Read this one: It is most likely......etc...etc...yeah, right...means they don't have a clue.....another response was, "If you are an AOL user, then....etc...etc...."
Well, I hate to tell ya, but I ain't an AOL user and my pictures here still stink. No way can I sell on ebay with pictures like this. I've ask for help for days....nothing....no help. So, I guess I'll try to find a service who has a clue what they are doing........bummer.
good luck guys.

This is the kind of damage I have been seeing in my pictures.

http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/va/valo3456/ASf120damaged.jpg

and that is one of the better clearer pictures. I have been up most of the night trying to figure out why I wasn't hearing from many other people with the same problems and I trying to fix this myself.
Finally I just shut everything down again, cleared cookies again, cleared files again, but this time I totally unplugged my computer and started it up again and now my pictures appear to be fixed. I had hundreds and hundreds of damaged auctions and for some reason it was mostly me that was having problems so it had to be something that was going on with my computers. The pictures were messed up on my husbands computer too!
As far as I know without checking 1670 auctions one at a time they are now fixed.

So are they fixed or not fixed? You say in the top part that after cleaning up your computer, they're all good again, but then you say without checking all 1600, they're not fixed. As I said in the other thread, the item numbers that you stated, all of them looked good to me. You can go to my item #5981550910 and see if it looks messed up to you. I don't think your problem is as bad as you think. I randomaly looked at your auctions and no pics were distored. My problem appears to pretty limited too, but I still want it corrected. So Vendio, please give us an update on the situation.

Now they are all fine but I had to clear everything in my computer and shut down totally up plug and re-start up again. I must of had some kind of virus if you copy and paste this and put it into the address bar you will see what my pictures looked like-> http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/va/valo3456/ASf120damaged.jpg now after clearing everthing on the computer and re-starting everything is fixed. I had something that messed up the html code in my computer and it was only my pictures in vendio that was effected by this. Your picture looks fine but very dark. It's not very big to be able to see much of your detailing. Try clearing everything and see if that works for you.
