I have a pending auction, not scheduled, for "X-10 Lola" that I want to list tomorrow for the 10c Fixed listing day. It's a relist of 5822545909, which had this same problem.

It has an embedded counter that's apparently no longer there, so I don't get any counts. But worse, I also can't change the counter or even remove it as I get an error.

Can you please fix this for me (set it to anything valid & I'll change it if necessary) so I'll get a valid counter when I launch the auction?

thanks

Hello,

I don't see anything wrong with the pending item -- if you list it, it should go on with your new counter. Even with the original item, it looks like it was imported into Vendio after being launched, since the counter column said N/A for the item. If after the new item is launched, you have errors, let us know.

Sonya

No, the counter has a problem.

When I try to edit the item, and change the counter, it says:
[ Error with the counter system! Couldn't find the counter specified. ]

When I last listed the item, I attached a second counter after the item launched so that one would show up. I had to look at the counters page to get the hits, as it just shows up as N/A in SalesManager control panel.

I want to delete the bogus counter reference and establish a good one before I launch so that it won't just say "N/A" .

thanks

Hello,

Is this an item that has been relisted several times? Please let us know, as that could be the problem, as pointed out by the other customer in this thread.

You can try making a copy of the item and launching the copy, to 'free' it from the original that was giving you problems.

Sonya

Yes, Sonya ... older items, relisted. Next time I'll try doing it as 'create a copy' then launch.

Sonya, on the Image hosting page, to the right of the green 'upload images' button, is a "edit/reset counters" link ... what the heck is the purpose of ALL that MUCH STUFF that's in there? ... what usefulness is it to us, and what use is it to you(vendio)?

Yes, this item has been relisted several times.

The auction was launched and only shows the Vendio message about counters, not the Vendio counter. I added an Andale counter through ebay (easier than figuring out how to do it through Vendio, especially since I didn't want to add another picture). But I won't get the daily traffic counts

estate - I do not see how to
"make a copy" from the closed item list. I only see how to make a copy from the active or pending auctions?

gaug (may i call you gaug?) lol

the way i would do a copy from closed section, is to do the rigamarole as a normal "relist", BUT schedule to launch, like in a few days or a few weeks. ... THEN it appears in "Pending" ... next to all items that are in "Pending", is a "copy" button ... click on that, then there will be a 'duplicate', so to speak, of that auction that you had "scheduled" to launch later on ... you can go into the fresh brand new 'copied' version of that listing, edit (or not) to your hearts content, then schedule or launch it ... THEN unschedule that bad old listing that is in your pending, and then delete it.

Hello,

The Edit/reset counters link is the link for you to get to all of your counters. You can change a counter style and reset counters from that page.

estate - (yes, "gaug" is fine!)
You've described perfectly the tortuous way that I too discovered to "copy" a closed item. I was hoping you'd found something more streamlined. Wouldn't it be great if you could copy a closed item as easily as you can copy an active or pending listing???

gaug; yes ... that would be nice. <---(subliminal note to sonya) lol

sonya; but goodness, that link shows a gazillion listings back, so darn old, and for vendio's sake, i would think you'd archive them at the max date, like you do with old closed listings.

Sonya -

I would still like to be able to delete that bogus counter link when this happens, or have Vendio do it for me when it discovers that the counter isn't there any more.

thanks

Hello,

Gaugagaug -- Let me know when it is listed and we will go from there.

Marcia -- you can delete the old counters...I do see your point though, archiving would be nice there.

Sonya
