A Canadian dealer on ebay with no feedback is offerring a 1611 King James Bible. His descriptions are very sketchy and amateurishly written, but his photographs of this Bible are the exact same photographs as displayed on the on-line catalog of a prestigious Philadelphia bookstore, including what appears to be an identifying bookplate. Since the retail value of this Bible is $13,000 plus---who knows how much could be bid. Checking the dealers other auctions, I find he has one other very valuable book, extremely well-described and photographed. One would never believe thae person who wrote the second description had any connection with the person who wrote the first. I suspect ths dealer has copied description and all from another catalog. Although this is only a suspicion, it is a very strong one, but ebay has not seen fit to look into it. Any ideas?
