Anyone noticed any trends with this new feature? A few times lately I've seen that notice on items I've listed. Just now I listed a book that had 3 people waiting! No copies on Amazon anywhere, none on ebay, one copy on half/ABE. So I was a bit "uppity" with my price! Will be nice if this pays off.
I am just curious if people use this feature and give a price they are willing to pay, or if they get alerts if ANY copy is listed.

I have listed about 6 books so far with buyers waiting but so far only "1 " that sold very fast. I noticed that Waiting for Nick had 3 buyers waiting! I do tend to slightly increase my price!

I've actually done both sold, and pre-ordered. I think the feature would be better if it let the buyer know that the book was listed regardless if it met their price. Apparently it does not. The book I wanted was 16.00 from Amazon, I ordered it at 8.00 in very good condition because good just has too big of a range, and checked back a few days later there was one listed for 10.00 but already sold. If I had known I probably would have paid the 10.00 once I knew the condition.
As a seller I sold several and I do put in the highest amount the book is listed at anywhere and usually add a bit, so far they've all sold though one I went in and edited down a few dollars until I got a hit.

OK, so they do set a price. Explains why I haven't heard on one book. The other, which I mentioned here, sold overnight to a guy in Spain who in a later email asked if I had any more books "you know, for cheap". This one WASN'T cheap, though who knows what he might have paid.
I am mulling about another book I found. It has 2 folks waiting. It's OP. There is only one on ABE and it's for $60. That's a lot to buy and risk that the folks waiting are stipulating $25 or whatever. I also don't ever spend that kind of money and then try to sell on ebay, like with a minimum of $75 or whatever.

i just listed a book with buyer waiting, this book just went out of print from the publisher, but amzn does not show how much the buyer is willing to pay which is fine because we sellers could rig the price.
on half.com when buyer preorders or wants to be notified,he can specify price max,so if a book is available but outside the range, buyer is not notified.
