I got this set at an estate sale, and know nothing about this stuff. I tryed searching on it and could not find anything like it, so would one of you smart people give me a hand and see if this is worth listing? Thanks!

The pattern is called Blue Willow I believe. Not sure about anything else. Email me the auction if you list it, it sure is pretty.

Hi Deee4--just looked it up in Kovel's Marks Book--couldn't find that exact mark but Fenton is from Staffordshire England. So a great title would be Willow Staffordshire England Pitcher and Bowl. Hope this helps. Isn't eBay interesting?

C. Challinor & Co. Fenton Staffordshire Potteries 1892-6.

I believe that there are some reproduction pieces of these that are being made in China. If you do a search on "willow bowl pitcher" you may be able to find one of the reproduction pieces listed. The repro pieces are much heavier and cruder than the originals.

Thanks Everyone! I looked at the word Fenton and it is spelled FENTDN so it is either a misspelling or a reproduction. So is it worth listing if it is a reproduction? I have no idea hat to list it for....and yes! EBAY is veryyyyyyy interesting!

This is American Ironstone from about the 1850's to about 1915. American companies started using British lions to compete with British imports. Many companies used marks, at least 25 or 30 of them. Most were in Ohio and New Jersey. Debolts American Pottery Marks has most of the companies listed. I think these pieces were made by one of the Trenton Pottery's: Fell and Thorp and are from about the 1880 - 1890's. This stuff is very well vitrified and heavy. The pattern looks to classic Blue Willow. Is this a wash basin set? Wash basin sets are desirable in Blue Willow. I haven't listed anything like this for quite a while. I don't know the current prices, but I would expect at least $50.00 for the set. Buzz words are blue and white, flow blue, blue willow, and Victorian. Nice set. Sorry I can't look up the exact mark. The books are at home and I am not.
