Last week I had a seller spam my buyers that were outbided to see their auctions. That they could get similar merchandise at their auction.
Is this legal?

It violates eBay's rules. If your b idders are unahppy, tell them to report the spammer to [email protected] and they will take care of it.

That they could get similar merchandise at their auction.

eBay has been very effective in stopping spam which makes reference to an auction.

I report them regularly, and I don't see them back for more. If you can get a copy of the spam, including headers, which refers to an eBay auctions, send it to [email protected]

They've been ineffective at stopping spammers who harvest addresses for the usual crud.
