Leave your computers and watch the Redskins win their second game on their road to the Super Bowl.(unless you have picture in picture for TV on your computer.)
You'll be glad you did. Will make you both knowledgable in small talk this week and enable you to say you have been following them from the beginning come Super Bowl weekend.
Not to be unkind but are the Detroit Cheerleaders, well, less than stunning?

Well, Reston_Ray, you are a more discerning individual than I realized. Go Skins!
I lived in the DC area for over 30 years before moving to Florida. I miss my Sundays watching a real football team. I still like to catch them whenever I can but what I miss most is reading the Washington Post sports pages.
Can you believe that some folks root for a self-styled "America's Team" full of drug test failing prima donnas.

P.S. To keep this thread eBay related - If I put my beautiful official Redskins logo, mint condition, burgundy and gold wool cap, with gold ball on the top, etc., etc. up for auction will you bid on it?

texmontana- a "poster" after my own heart! I know, the Cowboys aren't what they use to be... but I'm no "Fairweather Johnson" either. I'll stick by them through thick and thin... even when I think the Ram's Curt Warner is looking REALLY good (in more ways than just on the field!) To keep it eBay related... I'd never put any of my Cowboy collection up for auction... but I would bid on items!!!!

You can't buy superbowls! Redskins will go down in the playoffs and everyone will LOL as Dan Snyder does a Rumplestiltskin act on national TV.

Ah, I have so many fond memories of the Cowboys.... Kenny Houston stopping Walt Garrison at the goal line to send them home and the Skins to the playoffs. Tom Landry shouting "No, Danny, No" as the quarterback makes a boneheaded play that loses the game for them. And many, many more.
I must admit that I have found the Cowboys entertaining at times.

The Redskins lost. The Lions are now 2-0 without scoring an offensive touchdown.
The Lions don't have cheerleaders. They just have various high school squads on the sidelines.

I'm entering the season with low expectations. That way, I won't be disappointed with each of Dallas' losses. I love them... Love them... Love them... but every team has an "off decade", right?

DR. BEETLE- Three teams I'll NEVER respect: The OU Sooners, The Washington Redskins, and the UT Longhorns. The sole reason: Their fans. The kind that can't stand to hear a cheer for any team other that the one they like. The kind that when you say you like the Cowboys immediatley launch into a series of "Remember when they lost the superbowl-play-offs-championship? HA Ha" I like the Cowboys. AMERICA's Team ( ps- it was the NFL merchandising department that came up with that moniker, not the Cowboys!)eBay Note: Yes, Cowboy's mementos bring money at auction...
