I can't figure this one out. My auction ended on 9/2, and I received email from eBay on 9/8 telling me that my auction was being cancelled for mentioning the manufacturer's name.
I'm puzzled for a number of reasons:
1. the auction was already over
2. the item is at least 40-50 years old
3. there are currently over 70 auctions currently running that list the manufacturers name in the title (why me?!)
Can anyone shed any light on this? This is the first time this has happened to me (I've been selling for 6 months). Should I reply to eBay to try and straighten this out, or just be more careful next time? My bidder's payment is "in the mail" so I still have the item.

Welcome to the wonderful world of VERO! Keep all limbs and wallets securely inside the car as you take your wild non-sensical ride. Your mouth should be duct taped shut to keep you from saying "Why doesn't this make sense? Oh, I forgot, this is ebay..."
My advice? Forget about it and move forward. No time to waste on bitterness when you have business to do.

They probably did it so that even though it has no effect on that auction you still have been "warned" and they can go directly to a suspention if you do it again.
