Being a Canadian, Paypal and some of the other online payment services are not available to us. I am curious as to why more sellers (both Canadian and US actually) don't use BidPay as an option?
I know the buyer has to pay the fee, but I just bought something today and paid using their service. I didn't mind paying the fee one bit! Saved me a trip to the bank and seemed to be a fast and easy transaction.
I'm not trying to stir the pot here, I'm just really curious. (And no, I don't work for BidPay either, in fact I never heard much about them until this purchase I just made today on ebay.)

I'm also Canadian & offer BidPay for those that want to use their services, and I also offer Billpoint for those that don't want to pay a $5 fee.
I'm afraid that on lower $ items, most buyers don't want to add an extra $5 to the equation.

I as a seller do accept and promote their use in my auctions. I have never had a problem with them and have the money order within one week.

I use both paypal (for US buyers) and bidpay (for foreign buyers) and note both in my auctions. For low $ stuff I will take billpoint but I don't mention it unless asked.

Frankly, except for the well worth it convenience to international buyers paying U.S. sellers, I think BidPay is a rip at $5.
Once PayPal starts offering international payments I think the demand for BidPay will drop significantly since the buyer will be able to pay for their U.S. purchases without incurring any futher cost.

If any seller agrees to accept money orders, they ARE agreeing to accept BidPay. The seller does not have to sign up with BidPay, visit their web site, or communicate with them in any way, in order to receive the money order.
