I signed on, got my $10, it took me several emails to support to do it.
The worst feature is that when you send money - it is gone.. No confirm screen. It also seems to be very slow in updating, and getting notices out, so the effect is "did I just send money, or not???".
Also, I have referred two people and they have joined the whole 9 yards and no referral money showing up (yet). I think they need to fine tune.

I've been curious about them. I notice they offer both consumer and merchant accounts. I've written them several days ago on the fees for merchant accounts, no reply yet. They have no fee schedule posted, they simply say to contact them for info.

Hi Everyone!
I am one of the customer service reps at ExchangePath. We are really excited about the launch of our service and are hoping that our customers will be excited about it too. That said, we hope to use this forum to address users' concerns, not to promote ourselves.
I will be answering questions on the site periodically so please post any questions you may have or you can email [email protected] directly.

Hi everyone,
My name is Pam, one of the customer service reps at ExchangePath.
I wanted to clarify the questions regarding fees and the consumer and merchant accounts.
Currently, there are no ExchangePath fees associated with selling. Today, ExchangePath members who want to sell on auction sites can do so without having any transaction fees deducted by ExchangePath.
We also apologize for any confusion regarding the difference between the consumer and merchant accounts. Currently, the consumer account is the one that can be used to transfer payments. The merchant account is only for merchants who want to sell digital content. In the auction case, people should sign up for the consumer account and ignore the merchant account for now.

Pam,
I signed up for an account, but my balance does not reflect the $10 sign-up bonus. Apparently others here are experiencing similar problems.
How long does this normally take?

(I don't work for exchangepath)
You get the sign up bonus when you have made your first transaction. I believe this includes referring someone else. I wish they had 1) a link you can put in your auction to get the referral rather than having to do to their site and send out a notice and 2) confirmation of what you are doing. Right now the second you hit send, it's done and it takes a while to show up in your account. I almost paid someone twice. But I believe that until the payment is claimed at the other end, you can still cancel.
Anyway, it came at just the right time with PP charging fees.

From ExchangePath Member Agreement:
"To become a Member, you must (...) be a resident of the United States..."
(sigh)
I wonder who will be first to the "International" Finish Line?

I received my signing bonus the same day that I received my welcome e-mail to confirm my new account.
I also received one referral bonus on the same day that my friend signed up.
I forgot all about getting a signing bonus!
Welcome Pam.

Pam,
Glad to have an exchangepath rep on these boards. If I could offer what would seem to be an ovious suggestion: Please pay close attention to the PayPal fiasco! In truth, I don't know how much this PR debacle is effecting their business, but I don't think I'd want to be steering that boat, if you know what I mean. Also, I studied your site in a fair amount of detail and I would suggest that you make clarification as to the difference between "consumer" and "merchant." I believe that I understand the difference as exchangepath intends it, but in light of paypal's "We can't tell you what constitutes a business" philosophy, exchanagepath should steer clear of any ambiguity in this area. Oh, the other issue: if exchangepath decided one day to start charging fees, you guys might want to start by giving advance notice! (Like you hadn't guessed that already!)
Again, thanks for being around. I'll start to feature the exchange path logo in my auctions as soon as I can work it into my templates. Good luck.

Amalgamated2000,
Thanks for trying the service. Yes yisgood is correct. You need to make one transaction (send money, receive money, or a referral)in order to receive the Sign-Bonus.
Hope this helps!

Hi Richeddy,
We appreciate your suggestions. We plan on making some changes to our site so as to eliminate the confusion over the consumer/merchant sections. Currently, the consumer section is for both buyers and sellers of auctions. The merchant section is for digital content publishers and not yet relevant for auctions, except for the logo page. Hope that clarifies a little bit.
We hope to be up front with our members regarding all of our policies and will work to include members' feedback in future product development.
Thanks for your thoughtful comments, and we appreciate you giving us a chance.

Thanks Exchangepath! It is your money, so make something on the float.
Amalgamated--so true! It does look promising and their timing couldn't have been better!
I hope ExchangePath and it's servers are ready--unlike Gold's during the "only a dollar" fiasco.
Choices are a good thing...

You should receive your referral money. Please email [email protected] with your inquiry (include your username) and our technical support will be able to identify the problem.

My initial enthusiasm is quickly waning.
I referred a customer yesterday who sent me payment. So I should have then received my $10 sign on bonus, plus a $5 referral.
Instead, I get one "Enrollment and referral bonus" of only $5.
I emailed customer service and have received no reply.
At best, they still have some serious glitches in the system.

I am still waiting for the referral money also, and have now exchanged at least 10, maybe 12 emails with support and all I can get is cut and paste non answers. I am waiting 3 days now, and the $10 is hardly worth it.
I am offering Y paydirect in my auctions, and have both a Payplace and an exchangepath acct's. but they are going to have to do better if they want me to link them. Sorry - I just don't think the site is ready for prime time and I am not going to go through another "auction payment service extraction".

Labbie,
Did you receive your sign-up bonus and your referral bonus (if appropriate)?
I still haven't received a response to my email about the bonuses, much less the bonuses themselves.
And after her brief appearance, "Pam" is nowhere to be found.

amalgamated2000 Yes I received my sign up bonus along with a referral fee when a friend signed up for service after I sent one of those letters to her. ($15 total) That was on Sept. 16.
When I signed up, I received this number from them if I needed to call customer service--you could try it if you would like:
1-717-506-2205
Please let us know how it goes.

Hi everyone,
I have posted below the requirements to receive your sign up bonus and referral money. Because of your feedback, we are currently working to update the website with more precise language so that no one is confused over the sign up or referral money.
You can earn bonus money after you sign up for an account with a
credit/debit card and conduct one transaction. A transaction is
defined as one of the following:
- Send money/receive money
-One successful referral (your referral must sign up with a credit or debit card)
-A purchase at one of our merchant partners.
After you complete one of the above, your bonus money will be automatically
deposited into your account.
You can also earn referral money (up to $100) when your referrals sign up with a credit/debit card.
We really appreciate your participation and feedback.
Hope this helps!
