I have an item listed that I *knew* it was very ugly when I bought & listed it, but it's got a really good brand name. Just got this email from a customer regarding it:
Got a real kick out of this item. I had no idea that xxxxxxxxxxxx made anything like this. I really had to laugh, as it is the worst xxxxxx I've ever seen, in pictures or otherwise. Perhaps useful as a joke. JMHO No offense, of course.
The thing is, I had another one like it a while back and it sold!
LOL!

This is exactly the sort of thing my husband would match up to wear with his favorite striped shorts. The only thing is, he isn't kidding.

I bought a used car from a guy once that was wearing one just like that.

Ah, but look at the quality of workmanship. All the stripes match across the jacket and the sleeves. Ummm must have been a pricey jacket at one time. The lining is a nice color.

Oh wow! A vintage Herb Tarlek jacket!
(Anyone remember the first run of "WKRP in Cincinnati," with Gordon Jump and Loni Anderson? Who played Herb Tarlek?? I can't remember.)

not SilkMoth anywhere but here

Hey! I could use that in my next meeting with the executive who runs this joint where I work - I'd fit right in (my choice of clothes would match their choice of policy)
Thanks much for the laugh

Saw a similar jacket on a fellow at the Post Office. He was wearing canvas shorts - BLACK socks in sandels and one of those philipine style shirts with front panels that is not meant to be worn under a jacket. Also a blue baseball hat that was so dirty you could barely tell it was blue. He was also built like the guys who do shot put in the olympics
- massive. Very interesting effect. I was looking for candid camera.

*L* That jacket looks EXACTLY like one my "former" boss from 13 years ago would wear. This man was a millionaire, but had the tackiest taste in clothes. Hmmmmmm He's also in prison for murdering his wife.

Herb Tarlek was played by Frank Bonner, although he was often mistaken for Fred Willard. Fred played Herb's brother in one of the NEW WKRP episodes.

We had a news anchor in Cols.Ohio that is known for wearing these jackets. His plaid jacket collection is famous in this neck of the woods.
