My Husband opened an account with x.com, in the first weeks of business. We used this account for some very large financial matters. We deposited a large sum of money, so we could use his check card on our 3 week vacation. We NEVER received checks for this account, ans x.com SWORE they sent them twice. 2 weeks after we returned from vacation (the account had been opened for 4 mos by this time)we tried to use the card, and it was declined. We knew that we still had over $600 in the account, so were shocked. The next day we called x.com, and they said that while preforming a background check, they found something unfavorable, and were closing our account. We got them to transfer all of our money out, but we were still left speechless. Come to find out, while my military Hubby was overseas (back in his earlier years...appx 8 yrs before) we had a bit of a mix up with his military pay, and we bounced 1 check to a grocery store. We paid it immediately, and were told it was over with.
WHY would it take so long for them to decide to close our account? After several thousand dollars of ours sat there in their bank?
Well, the most I can say is thank goodness. This was surely a sign.
So.......it seems that x.com has its own rules, and all account holders should beware!
