Today, I recieve a "NPB" in the Inbox.
It was for an auction I won 10 days back.
The sellers TOS states that payment must arrive within 2 weeks.
Of course, the payment is going to Hong Kong thru Global Priority Mail (it wasn't worth it to send $20.00 thru International Express Mail) and mind you, I've had at least one GP envelope get there in 3 weeks.
I sent payment on the day after I got the EOA.
I asked the seller why they did this, and their response (edited for some personal info):
thank you for your email!! I was not sure I do apologize as for some reason you are no longer registered? I was not sure if this was due to nonpayment or absence from the computer. Of course I will not file the alert now that I have heard from you, that was just the 'little notice' one which does not go on record or anything!! so please do not worry. once again I apologize about the alert as I wasunsure about your nregistered status but am clear now!!!
HUH? So far, this is the first NPB to this account, and as far as I know, eBay hasn't NARU'd me or this account i'm using.
Is the seller kinda jumpy and sent me the wrong message or should I be worried and think the deal will go sour, and I might get that black mark?

NPB's are really no bog deal. As best as I can tell, a buyer has to get a ton of them before Ebay takes notice. It is not really so bad for them to leave one at 10 days. I would not worry. My main concern would be buying something from Hong Kong in the first place.
