What does everybody think of the new option to list your item in 2 seperate categories something late fall/winter idea?

I think I may use it on my smaller priced items because the added cost, but may try it on a few higher dollar items as well to see if it will work.

Any other thoughts?

The Auction Guild had this to say about double-category listing in their TAGnotes today:

TAG sees this as just one more way for ebaY to increase fees, another avoidance of fixing what is already not working (search, indexing, completed search, feedback system, reoccurring outages and site instability) and a way to inflate the site listing numbers, by counting every item listed in two categories, twice. This provides great stockholder eyewash, but does little for those sellers trying to survive on ebaY.

I agree.

There have been many times I would have loved to have been able to do this, and would have been willing to pay a little extra - but not double.

Considering that eBay is still plagued by glitches, and that a modification like this will complicate the indexing of the data even more, I think it is a very BAD idea. I don't think that it's any stretch to predict that there will be outages when they try to implement this.

donjoff: Thanks for posting the information. I agree completely. If the serach worked the way it should you wouldn't need to list it twice.
