I have been selling on ebay for about 2 months and everytime I insert my description, it all comes out in one paragraph. How does one put in several paragraphs? I've tried tabbing and entering several times but it doesn't work. I am, by no stretch of the imagination a computer whiz. I hope someone out there can help.

You might want to learn some basic HTML codes which will help you make your listing more attractive, such as different colors or fonts (great for TOS).

If you have MS FrontPage, you can actually create your ad in there, then copy the basic HTML code over to your ebay listing. Or you can pick up a basic HTML code book at the bookstore.

I like this page. It has some really basic HTML stuff.

What confuses me is the UBB stuff you have to use for this message board. I've cut and pasted info for that into an e-mail that I've saved in my drafts folder.

Hi Classic: For more information you can go to the eBay Site Map ~ I think there's a section called Help ~ then go to Seller Guide ~ List it ~ Common HTML Tags.

That gives lots of information to help you spruce up your listings. Good Luck!

You can use Frontpage Express (free as part of the Internet Explorer bundle) or Netscape Composer (free as part of the Netscape Communicator bundle). They are just slightly more complicated than a word processor, but not much. There is a small learning curve involved but you can get some excellent results without being an HTML expert. A little basic HTML know-how will help a lot too.

If you want a new paragraph with an indent (without a line space)
you can type <br>&nbsp;
If you want a line space and an indent you can type <br><br>&nbsp;

If you only want a line space, you can just use <p>

Using <blockquote> before your description will also make it easier to
read and more attractive. Then at the end of your description use
</blockquote>
