Does anyone know when there will be a free listing day on eBay? It seems there used to be more of them. Have they gotten rid of them completly?

"There is traditionally an eBay-sponsored free listing day around Christmastime."....which is a joke.
The only reason they bother "giving" us this "gift" is due to the fact that no one would be listing at all on that date (last year it was 12-22). They have nothing to lose (listing fees) and possibly something to gain (final value fees). So why not?
Last year they also gave us one in September (9-9-99), but waited until the last minute to announce it (if memory serves).

-- not quite. The FLD that occurs around christmastime is because listings DO drop off dramatically in the second half of december. However, I found that the period right after that FLD was a very strong selling period for my items - particularly the time immediately after christmas and into january. Many other sellers reported strong sales on and after christmas.
