I need moral support. LOL

Auction ended 6 weeks ago. High bidder has almost 200 feedback, no negatives, no neutrals. Has continued to bid, win and pay.

However, I have never heard one word! I tried "email this auction to a friend", I filed a NPB. Nothing.

My 10 days since the NPB are almost up and I now need to neg this person. If she had even emailed me saying "I don't want the stupid thing" I would feel better about this. At this point I'm still making excuses for her "maybe she didn't get the emails". Etc.

So root me on. Tell me to neg her and ruin her perfect record.

Always Guilt-Ridden about something,

Angie

Angie:

Why don't you pull her user information and give her a call? That sometimes works.

I was reviewing some feedback today & found a similar case. Has nice feedback, glowing responses..but every now & then apparently just picks one winning auction not to pay.

Go figure?!

You might try ONE more thing. Pick a recent feedback & ask THAT seller to forward on to the winning bidder that you are trying to reach her. I've done this, politely explaining I'm unable to contact the bidder to the other seller & so far, they've all been willing to pass a message along.

If she doesn't respond to that, NEG & don't feel bad. You've done all you can, short of spending more of your own money to call someone who doesn't apparently care to respond.

Good luck..sometimes using an intermediary works. Sometimes, not.

Well, they do have 10 days from the NPB--many do pay on around the last moment. I'd use an alternate email--I use Yahoo--and send a note that says you do not understand why, with their excellent record, they have chosen not to respond/pay/whatever and that you are using an alternate email address in the hopes that you can get a response. I'd add that you would hate to inform eBay that they did not pay for the auction item.

There's no rush to neg a bidder. Allow a day or so extra in this case to get a response, than FVF credit. You have plenty of time to neg them afterwards. I have seen checks show up after FVF credit and negs.

This exact same thing happened to me. I did give him a neg. This was over six months ago. I still go back and check on him and I'm his only neg. He is still bidding and apparently paying for all his other auctions.
And it was on a $15. item. I still don't understand it.

Do what you have to do. If you don't get a response or payment, leave the neg AFTER you file for FVF. Don't be surprised if your "sterling" bidder objects and tries to cover his/her tracks. I've had to do the FVF/neg for NPB ONCE. The day after I filed the FVF and left a neg saying "responded to EOA, no payment, no response to emails or NPB, FVF credit received", I got an email saying "I just got my computer fixed (yada..yada..yada), I'll send you payment immediately if the item is still available." Story was that she'd been on vacation (after responding to my EOA and then forgetting to send payment), and come home to find her computer fried. Just happened to get it working the day after the FVF was filed....'cept she apparently didn't realize that I'd checked to see that she'd been bidding, winning and paying much of that time. She actually responded to the neg that "the seller has been contacted and the problem has been resolved". She didn't appreciate that I responded by pointing out that her only response was to the feedback and the FVF credit notice.

hmmmm I think I would pull their contact information, and give them a call. If you get the answering machine, (been there done that) I would tell them that you have a deadline to try to recoup your fees so that it is imperrative that they reach you either by phone or email in so much time. (your choice) Just be polite and if they do not respond, neg! I also say in my negs now...*Did not pay for the uction. Do not know why. No contact.* It states the facts, does not invite a retaliatory neg, and is non combative. Good luck, and no guilt!

Thanks all.

I tried the mail auction to a friend with "I can't understand why you are not replying..." thing. I refuse to call her. It's been * 6 weeks * and a $13 item. I'm not throwing good money after bad.

I think 6 weeks is more than enough time to at least make contact.

Neg like crazy, but wait until 59 23:59....you never know what u might get back!!!
I recentlyissued my first neg on a bidder who we got NARU'd because of shilling (you can find the thread if u look)...my neg read Seller wanted the REAL CAR...found out he was a SHILLER...beware!!!!!! I sold a postcard for @ $6 and this fool didn't wanna pay..we checked his auctions and feedback and found 6 differnet names that he was shilling with!!!
45 DAYS after the auction was over, (and his suspension was up), I was emailed from him about how much he owed me (after I had filed NPB and FVF)...I explained that fees had been refunded, and that this auction was NO MORE!!! I Negged the guy and this was the response I got...."hi
I did offer you your money back didnt i
but why negative feedback?"......
He never offered MY money back, because I was the one owed $$...then I get...

"I am not going to give negative feedback
You know why ?

I am better then You,
Your a BIG loser AH !"

Next [email protected] am gonna take this sucker out again!!! I LOVE NEGS!!!!!

Neg them ...........

If you get one back you now have a battle scar/badge of honor to hold high.

I have a few myself and wouldn't trade them for anything.

After waiting 30 days which is a long time
I would leave a neutral feedback and explain why, Have you checked to see if the person is still bidding on items? because if they are I would feel that they are just not going to ans. your emails, because they are active on ebay and they must be ans. their mail if they are still bidding.
Don't feel bad about doing it because you waited too long already. What they did to you they will do to someone else.
