I'm hoping some more experienced than me ebayer sellers can help me out here..... I had an auction end on 11/1 that by all indications looks to be won by a deadbeat bidder. I've had no replys to my emails and now they are down to a -2 feedback. I think I can't file a non paying bidder report for 7 days but can I go ahead an re-list this item this weekend? It's a rather expensive item and I really don't want to sit on it much longer.

Ebay requires contact between the buyer and seller within 3 days of the auction's end. So to avoid trouble, you should give him at least that long. Beyond that, it's up to you. Just email the buyer and telling him you are canceling the transaction due to lack of contact. If he sends payment, send it back.

I'm in a similar situation. My high bidder on 10/30 (with four positives and three negs for non-payment) has read my email but has not responded. I'm going to write to him tonight and let him know that I need to hear from him by Monday, or I'll need to file for FVF and relist.
I'll file the NPB on Monday (seven days after the auction) and I'll probably end up relisting before the ten-day period before filing for FVF is up.

Sounds like you may have the same deadbeat I had. I negged him today and put him up to a (-2), now that's a feedback rating to be proud of. I give my bidders the benefit of the doubt and wait 7 days before I decide they are a deadbeat. Then I begin the process of FVF refund.

Ebay says you have to give the buyer three *business* days. I guess - to be technical - that it depends what time of the day the auction ended. If it ended 6 PM Nov. 1 (Wednesday), then 6 PM Thursday is one day, 6 PM Friday is two days and 6 PM Monday would be three days.
