I thought this would be a good place to ask...I'm using Stamps.com mostly so I don't have to go to the post office, but I think my super is getting pissed at having to collect up my packages for me ....how do you people handle it?

I wouldn't trust my super with my packages. I think I'd still go by the post office to drop off packages. Mine has a big drop box especially for boxes so you don't have to wait in line. Is your post office hard to get to?
Maybe you could give your super a Christmas card with a nice $100 bill in it. I'll bet that will soften him up a bit.

No, actually i mail all my packages myself, it's when I get packages he has to bring them up to me...which i hope he isn't getting annoyed....shoot how do y'all handle this, especially when you aren't at home most of the day?

We do up most of our packages at home and my husband takes them to our store each morning when he sets up for the day. We are very fortunate as the post office is just behind our shop so we can go out to mail things anytime of the day if we wish. This works out fine as payments come in during the day by mail or online such as Billpoint.
I often wonder how people manage their mailings when they have to go to their workplace each day and also find time to go to a post office as well as answer their e-mails and do up their listings. We can do some of this from our store as we work for ourselves but it is very time consuming and we never want to ignore our customers.

Perhaps a tip?
My mail (woman) picks up a slew of boxes each week and she will be tipped and heartily Dec. 1.

I think my mailman is out to get me. LOL. When we first moved, I ordered about a year's worth of Priority Supplies. He was not impressed He rang the bell and said "do you ALWAYS get this much stuff?"
I'd think about tipping him if he started bringing our mail before 5 pm...
I always take little treats to my friends at the Post Office. But this guy is another story...

Interesting question here, on finding the time to do things. I find myself waiting on things at work (reports to run off the computer network, etc), so its quite common for me to check my email and auctions during those time periods. I usually check my mail during my lunch hour, and process any payments for smaller, easy-to-mail items then, and put them in the outgoing mail when I go back to work. In the evening when I get home, I package any bigger items that need to go, fill out customs forms as needed, and set them aside for a weekly trip to the post office.
I deal in trading cards, mostly. I have a desk in my room for storing my shipping supplies (tape, stamps, bubble mailers, bubble wrap, plastic sleeves and top loaders, etc). I keep a small supply of everything in a set of upright plastic drawers next to the computer so I can sit at the computer, generate my invoice, package the item, and put it in the "to be mailed" pile. I also got a paper shredder which I'll be using on my newspapers for make-your-own packaging materials for those bigger items. 8)
Listing/relisting days are Thursday evenings unless I have special items (like new cards or Pokemon items that come my way). Those are items that the sooner you get on the auction block, the better your chances of a sale, ya know. I found my going to the post office only once a week with the bigger or international items, and sending the littler items out right away, I've gotten my system down very well.
Oh, and I try to let all my buyers know when payment has arrived and if item will be mailed right away or Friday of that week.

while I, too, have the Stamps.com program, I'm too chicken yet to try to get my postmen to pick up packages for me...so down to the PO I go and just drop them on the counter, making sure someone knows they're there and that's it...but soon...
as for your super...it's his JOB...
BUT...$$$ might help if that's what he understands...
verbal thanx on a daily basis, recognizing TO HIM that you're highly pleased with the effort he puts out for YOU...
finding out what he's interested in and getting him just a little something related to it couldn't hurt either...

I am very lucky. I am self-employed, and
the Post Office is about 1 city bloack from my house. I sometimes make two "mail runs" per day to ship eBay stuff.
