Hi all - I just started selling on Amazon Marketplace last week, and already I've gotten a "where's my book?" email from a customer. I had to write back and ask what was the book she was asking about. I shipped it 11/8, and you know how long book-rate often takes. Wonder how many more of these I'll see?

keziak and anyone else on Marketplace:

what percentage (roughly speaking) of your customers are leaving feedback?

I only have 1 feedback, and that was for an auction item from some time ago. I expect that the Marketplace books I've mailed are only now starting to arrive at people's houses, if they are relatively nearby.

I got a "Where is my video?" this morning too. This is from the first sale I made on 11/4 and was shipped 11/6. From northern Vermont to New Mexico.

No feedback yet from any Marketplace buyer but one email yesterday 11/15 from a buyer to state that he received his book, shipped 11/8. But he is much closer (Ohio).

I have put "bookrate" in my 70 letter description. So far so good. I still feel weird about the cost difference.

I've sold over 50 Marketplace items so far, but no feedback yet. I expect it will be like half.com and there won't be much.

I email my Marketplace customers the day I ship the book, and I remind them that I shipped it via Book Rate, according to Amazon's instructions. I then tell them approximately how long book rate mail takes to get from me to them, but add that it can take longer, especially during the holiday season. Hopefully, this well head off some problems, but it probably won't.
