Picked these up today and was wondering what the names of the various types are, particularly the first photo with the three larger ones.
They are old, I'm sure of that because of who I got them from, but I know absolutely nothing about marbles. The three in the first photo are glass. The others are mostly glass with an aggie or two (well, I know that much anyway) and one clay.

Hi loosecannon,
My knowledge of marbles are limited even though I have sold LOTS.
The first 2 on top look like slags, the 3rd one could be a Ravenswood.
The bottom ones arn't much to shout about, as a group you MIGHT get a couple of bucks...depends on the condition, nicks, chips, cracks, pits ect. I don't see anything there that is unique.
I just paid a $125.00 for a Latticinio Core Swirl 2" at a real live auction, a year or so ago it would have went for several hundred. I went to do search and from what I see I'll be lucky to recover half my money.
eBay has devalued many collectable things over the last year or 2

Thanks shaani and packer
Looks like marbles are tough. I got them cheaply enough, considering the other things I bought with the marbles. I know what you mean though, about some things going for cheap now.
I have a super little antique poison bottle that would have brought a nice price out of a shop, but on ebay I found one that closed for only 5.00! Sorry, but I think I'd rather have it on my shelf than give it away!
