I was out of town for a funeral for a couple days and it hit me that I should get an e-mail account that I can access from anywhere. I sent an EOA from my sister's house which worked out fine but I missed a customer's question about one of my auctions. I have a hotmail account but it's so darn spammy (penis enlarger!!! for Pete's sake!) I don't want my business anywhere near it. How's the e-mail here? I may just go ahead and activate it to see what I get but would like to hear from someone who uses it. I'm looking for clean and reliable. Thanks

I use my Hotmail account to access my home (local ISP) email from anywhere in the world. There is a spot where you enter you POP mail server info and it will check your ISP email for you.
I've been doing it that way for many years now.
Now if you feel icky about using a Hotmail account to reply to a customer's inquiry, you could certainly set up something here on Auctionwatch for that. But be sure that your auctions state in advance that you use 2 email addresses, as a customer might not respond to you if your eoa or anything else does not come from the same email addy registered at eBay in your name.
Most ISPs now have a feature that allows you to check your email from a web browser. You might want to contact yours and ask (or check their web page). I use MS Outlook 2000 to manage my ISP based email account but I can also access it from any PC anywhere that has web access.

That's the ticket! Thank-you, both, for taking the time to answer. It seems so obvious now but I have a tendency to assume everything on the computer is going to be complicated. My POP is very reliable and I would like to keep using them and Outlook Express where I keep form letters, etc. I'll get this fixed up before I leave at Christmas. Have a great Thanksgiving.

If the above doesn't work out for you, you might try the following services so that you can reach your present e-mail through the web:
