Also the Sports Categories will be unavailable for maintenance on Thursday morning, November 23, from 00:01 PT to 00:15 PT.

We are sorry for the necessary inconvenience but appreciate your understanding.

If you have auctions ending then, you might want to end them early and ask for credit. The last two times ebaY did this the downtimes were relatively short 15-20 minutes. Cancel any bids first. Vrane.Com has a great tool for doing this called an auction bomb

Ask for credit by going to the refund form . Request listing, special feature and Final Value Fees. Go to the form at

http://cgi3.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?
SendSupportEmailShow&subject=Credit%20--%20How%20can
%20I%20receive%20credit%20for%20insertion%20fees%3F%20
(cut and paste to url field in browser in pieces)
Send -
* The item number(s) of the ended auction(s)
* The specific fee(s) charged for them
* Your seller's email address or User ID
* The phrase, GIVE CREDIT in the Subject line or first line of message

Thanks for posting this. Was just about to come here and rant about an item I have listed in the sports section. I went to "My eBay" and under my sellers section it has "sport is currently unavailable" and that my auction is "ended". I thought eBay ended my auction early! I was near livid! Will see what happens and how long maintenance takes. ARG!

We're taking applications now for the upcoming year! Anyone want to get onboard for more Corporate Welfare? I love paying for something and getting the opportunity to complain elsewhere. Thanks Rosalinda for posting this "business as usual" outage at ebay!

Silly news services! And here they were trying to tie the ebay 41.5 point stock drop to the election.
